[SOLVED] Cum Overlays Not Staying

Wasn't sure where to ask for help with this, so figured I'd ask here!

 

To the point, cum overlays only last a few seconds and then vanish. I edited the cum_overlaysdata.xml and removed the duration part so they would stay, but that didn't do anything. I want to use the mod Wash Out That Cum, but it seems pointless to have it now since the cum overlays only last a few seconds and then are gone on their own.

 

Not really sure what else could be interfering with them to cause them to only last a few seconds, as I'm pretty stumped. I don't know if it is a different animation mod or an addon or something, but it's kind of annoying and makes Wash Out That Cum a useless mod in my load order if the cum overlays just vanish instantly.

 

I have the Cum Overlays - Scripted Edition mod, but that doesn't have anything about duration or anything in it (MCM or files as far as I know). I have M.C.G. and Violate as well, but don't see anything in them about duration of cum overlays either. Originally I thought it might of been something like Get Dirty since it does dirt overlays, but I got rid of that and on this new playthrough, it is still happening without it.

 

So any insight would be helpful. Maybe someone else has had this issue as well and figured out a solution. I'll keep browsing around to see if there is anything, but would appreciate any insight into the issue, thanks!

 

 

 

EDIT: Heh, funny enough, it seems most issues are how to NOT make them permanent, cause people have issues with them never going away. Go figure lol. Anyway, going to try setting duration to -1 (as per a comment in the Cum Overlays thread) and see how that goes.

 

 

EDIT 2: Well looks like setting it to -1 didn't work. They still disappeared after a few seconds.

Just an update, still can't get this figured out.

 

I tried setting the duration number really high (1000000) to see if that would help, but they still disappear after a few seconds. So really no idea what else to try or what might be conflicting with it. I did a fresh install as well, and that didn't change anything.

 

Maybe Unique Player And Followers Redux? I know AAF only supports Unique Player, and not the one I use (though M.C.G. provides support for the one I use), so maybe that's it? I have no idea. Just trying to think of things that might conflict with the cum overlays, or maybe just overlays in general.

 

EDIT: So not Unique Player And Followers Redux, or True Blood either for that matter.

Got some help from @Nebuchadnezzer2 on Discord and it turns out the issue was with M.C.G.

 

There is a setting in M.C.G. in the Tools section called "Apply Cum". I had it turned on, cause well, I thought I needed it on to apply cum overlays on my character after sex. Turns out, cum overlays already get applied after sex without that on.

 

So with that setting turned on, it was causing my cum overlays to vanish after a few seconds instead of stay on permanently. With it off, my cum overlays now stay on. Well, until I wash them off with WotC lol.

 

Thought I'd leave this here for those that might run into the same issue. Thanks again!

I have thesame problem. I don't have M.C.G installed so if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.
My cum stains dissapear after a while. So they stay longer than Spyder seems to have had problem with. But they do dissapear.

Any help is greatly apreaciated!

You can adjust the times in Cum_overlayData.xml which you'll find in Data/AAF

 

Alternately if you want them permanently you can use the xml file posted by @Nebuchadnezzer2 here
