Staging AAF Animations

Recommended Posts

Hi All! I've been messing with these Animations for a while now and finally got them working correctly! I like a realistic Game play and I don't like hitting the key board to go through the animations.....

I like the Staged Animations but the only ones I can get to stage are the Leito's

I've found other Mods to stage Salvage and Gray Animations but they mess up my game :( and there are a lot of other Animations I like but I'm unable to stage them.

Many of the Tutorials that i have found to set up animations are Out dated and just confuse me more than I already am lol

What I need is help on setting up My animations so they are all staged..the ones I want that is... and to eliminate the ones I don't want ( like the Girl's screwing the Guys)

Any help is appreciated ...maybe a proper link to a detailed tutorial....

I am very un-computerized but I can follow directions lol

Thanks in advance!

In order to have staged anims, you need to set up a proper animationgroupData and make them referenced in positionData. You can look for reference in Polistiro's patch/One Patch.

Basically you need to understand those

AnimationGroup to be referenced in positionData: https://bitbucket.org/dagobaking/advanced-animation-framework/wiki/XML/animationGroup.md#!animationgroup

positionData to have animationGroup referenced in: https://bitbucket.org/dagobaking/advanced-animation-framework/wiki/XML/position.md#!position

and ofc the animationData, since its necessary to register animations in AAF, they are also referenced in PositionData but also has a interaction with animationGroups, so they are referenced there too: https://bitbucket.org/dagobaking/advanced-animation-framework/wiki/XML/animation.md#!animation

Let me know if you have any questions

I'm having a hard time understanding all that...Is there a Mod that will auto change the Scenes instead of using the Keyboard (pgup) (pgdn) ?

I read the links but it goes right over my head..

The One Patch 2.0 (WIP) will make available staged anims for most animation packs, but its not out yet.
And yeah, its not that easy if you are not used to that kind of stuff, but also not hard since its a really simple system. As i said, i suggest you taking a look at references from polistiros staged setup for example, looking at references is the key for most things when it comes to modding.

OK Thank You for your help......

By @Bazinga :

Copypasta from SavageCabbage Animations thread:

Here are my animationgroup and positiondata xmls for this mod if anyone wants them.

SavageCabbage Staged.7z 9.78 kB · 21 downloads

They are based on the ones in Auto Staged Animations Please. Those are are broken though, the time variable doesn't work.

edit:

reupload because I forgot to add the fixed animationdata xmls
