I'm new to this... what's for which game?

I'm a long-time experienced Oblivion mod-user. I have some Skyrim mod-using experience. Some of you may have seen me around the forum. I have a few questions.

 

Unfortunately for my current Skyrim build I have to keep it SFW as I have an audience... complicated. In the meantime I want to get into doing sex mods for Fallout 3 or New Vegas. I'm considering which one to buy, and what mods are for who.

 

Let me be blunt. I don't like New Vegas as much as I like Fallout 3. I hate... hate... HATE "Western" themes. I don't like all the cowboy references and 'wild west' stuff in this game. Yes it's functional, yes I own it for 360 and kinda enjoyed it. But I only played it once because the wild western theme irked me. I prefer the atmosphere of Fallout 3 -greatly-, as well as the DLC letting you continue after the game 'finishes' the main plot line. (my favoritest part about the DLC for Fallout 3. <3) In fact I didn't even play the DLC that was in a casino after buying it when I learned it was just an alternate ending and I couldn't contine playing it like the Brotherhood of Steel one. Even if I DO like gun mods.

 

So we lead up to the big question. How the hell can I tell which mod is for what game? O-o I assumed it was the ones with [New Vegas] in orange text at the start, but then that... what's it called, Sexout Tryout plugin list, seems to be for New Vegas without the flag. Is there a marker or other indicator I'm missing? I don't want to buy the wrong game when my favorite-looking mods are for the other!

 

Also, in everyone's opinion, which game has more/better sex mods? I'm particularly into bestiality, rape, sexual slavery, and such... But prostitution is a big favorite of mine as well, -big- favorite. I have no real experience on what is available for these two games, as I've been penned up in the swords and sorcery of the Elder Scrolls sex mods... you see I'm a furry and play almost exclusively Khajiits and Argonians. But I've played the shit out of Oblivion and the quests no longer interest me... So which game has what/the good mods? If I may be so bold as to ask.

 

Yes I've heard of Animated Prostitution but know nothing about it. I tried out the Skyrim version. But given the success of the Lovers System, and how Sexout seems -very- similar to Lovers System, it was my first instinct.

Sexus or whatever is the only one for Fallout 3. Everything else is for New Vegas. You should give New Vegas another shot on PC. The xbox makes everything seem shittier than it actually is.

Yeah. I was just noticing the overwhelming presence of the "New Vegas" threads. o_O compared to only a couple fallout three threads. Boo-hiss... I liked the DLC for Number 3! DX Mothership Zeta was awesome, and whatever the brotherhood of steel one was called, I forget.

 

Okay moving on, thanks for the opinions guys. Like I said... Yeah, I -liked- New Vegas, but the Western 'theme' detracted from the game a lot for me. Yeah I like gun mods. Yeah I like that manual aim is more important I guess. Yeah I like the new and fancy perks. I guess I'm just old fashioned. o-o

 

Allllrighty then. Now I have just one more question. ._. Is there a mod somewhere that allows you to continue after completing any of the final plot missions? I know they wanted the end to bring 'closure', but boooo. I like the Elder Scrolls philosophy of "You beat the main plot! Now go fuck around."

To be fair, New Vegas' team WANTED to give you the chance to play the game after the final quest, but it was too much content to write for on too little time. That said, as far as I know there still isn't any real mod that allows that, to the degree Sawyer wanted for FONV.

I was sure there were a couple of "Play after the end" mods on Nexus, never tried them though, trouble is I was such a high level when I finished FO3 that everything else I did was too easy.

I'm sure there are; I just don't think any of them would be at the level that'd do FONV justice given its multiple endings.

Well...there IS a way to get NV functionality in 3. A Tale Of Two Wastelands. Yes, it requires owning both games with all DLC, but if you watch Steam sales you can get the whole shebang for like $30. It injects all of the F3 content into NV, giving you all the nifty new perks and ironsights and the improved (IMO) companion functionality and all that in the Capitol Wasteland. And it is compatible with most Sexout plugins.
