High Heels mod not Working

Recommended Posts

So as some of you might know, a proper high heels system was recently made for Fallout 4. I have all the absolute requirements, have done what was instructed and yet, I cannot get it to work for me. I've mentioned my issue to the mod author but it seems I'm being ignored. So I ask the more helpful people of Loverslab to maybe point out what my issue is and help me resolve it. Here is the link for the mod page: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39850? and I've posted my load order down below. I hope someone can help me, as I would really like to be able to use it.

File pathing.

Fallout 4/Data/F4SE/Pluggins/HHS

99 out of 100 that's the issue.

You have to place the TXT files there, but as an example the new ZeroSuit Samus does not put the TXT files there it puts them in the meshes folder.

how its named....

ZeroSuitSamusraisedk1.txt

contents of the TXT file

Height=10.0  <<<<------

That's all there is too it.

You only need a proper skeleton file for HHS to work beyond that its really simple to set up.

Also since its new you have to pretty much make the TXT files yourself sometimes but that's easy enough to do

But everything I have that requires it is in that folder... With the "Height=whatever you set it to"

Well here's what you do man.

Place your Fo4HHS.ESP at the end of the load order.

Then after redownloading and re-applying the proper female ZAZ skeleton, because that can get overwritten by other mods on the Nexus just like there were dozens of skeleton files for the female for Skyrim that people were overwriting and complaining about all the time from crashing...

My point is that there really are FemaleBodySkeletons one of them adjusts where the butt goes.

You want the ZAZ one.

Then after you have re-applied that and it still isn't working in the game we have narrowed it down to 1 of 2 things.

1) You didn't name your Shoes correctly, entirely a possibility.

2) You have managed to find a bug, go file a report with the mod author.

There are not many things it could be, I have it on my machine and it works fine.

The only way it can mess up

1) Don't have correct F4SE version

2) Don't have Mod Installed, activate the ESP

3) Don't have the TXT files named the same as the Meshes

4) Don't have proper file paths for the TXT files.

5) Didn't write "Height=10" in the TXT files.

6) Don't have or have overwritten the Skeleton file which should be ZAZ skeleton

That's a short list, so you should be able to handle that.

Good Luck

Looks like that did the trick. Thank you so much.

Just an FYI you do NOT need to put all the height text files into the F4SE folder. There is a check box in the FO4HHS MCM to turn on and off the new style check. The old style is where the txt files are in the same directory as the nif files are and that method seems to work best, at least for me. So turn off new style in the MCM and that lets you leave the txt files in the same directory as the outfit nif.
