Yoooo this mod is causing some pretty big graphical issues, namely with hats. This mod is conflicting with something in my mod list that causes anyone wearing a toque or a bowler hat to have a pink square on them where the head is suppose to be instead. As someone who likes playing in the northern climates this is a pretty bad looking issue when a caravan arrives lol.

Sorry for the delay here on my end, away from my computer for vacation and I won't be back for a while. If you could narrow down what the issue is with I can take a look at patching.

I had the same thing happen to me. It was conflicting with Combat Extended Fast Track (haven't tested the base edition). I believe it failed to load textures for toque, bowler, gas mask, and power armor helmet.

Looking into it now. Seems to be an issue that CE has had on it's own occasionally before so I have an idea where the problem is, it just about making a patch really.

Edit: Actually this is transpilers fighting - and I barely got mine working when I wasn't super rusty. It's possible, but I think this may be beyond me right now. I'll go ahead and update the OP that there is incompatibility with CE.

Issue report:

When using Humanoid Alien Races, all females will have mismatched head colors compared to their body, EXCEPT for those with basic female body.

Its is especially noticeable on dark skinned pawns. All female pawns get a reddish tint to them (again aside from basic female body) that doesnt apply to their face, causing obvious disparity. Im not sure if pawns are meant to have the tint or not but the mismatched tones is quite striking.

The only fix i can see is to use Facial Stuff which seems to get all pawns properly matched up, or disable Alien races of course.

This is not a big deal to me personally since i use facial stuff, but i noticed it because im trying to take screenshots of my new body replacers and id prefer to use vanilla faces

Thanks for your time and also the framework, love having some variety in what my pawns bodies look like lol.

Here are some screens of the issue (credit to Xeva for the body replacer, id've used mine but its not finished yet):

All males look fine, all females have mismatched faces apart from base female

I'm gonna be flat honest with y'all, I have hardly any idea how I made this in the first place and at this point I'd essentially have to re-learn everything. What's more, 1.1 Harmony has changed in a way I don't fully understand so I'd have to learn that too.

I gave it a good 30 minutes but I don't currently have the time to work on it. Sorry!

If anyone wants to give it a go - again - this mod is completely open source. Have at it please!

the main goal was to make a distinctive body replacer that was as compatible with outfits that fit the vanilla body as possible, and i think i succeeded if i do say so myself

had so much fun making this, thank you for making this possible IntelligencePending ❤️

done

edit: btw, it is unrelated to gender distinction not being updated, but current versions of my body replacer dont use gender distinction, it now uses alien race framework

@IntelligencePending I'll try to make it compile on Harmony 2. I don't guarantee anything, but it does seem doable. I'm new to the game though, so I need a tester that knows what's supposed to happen.

Edit: I compiled it now I'm playing the tutorial with Xeva FB Pack and I see that females have curvy bodies and clothes like bikinis and males have dicks and regular clothes. I assume that's what's intended but I need someone to confirm please.

Yep that's how it's supposed to work, great job!

If you want to upload the fixed version yourself drop a link here so I can redirect people to it on the download page! I could also post the updated file here you would prefer not to.

There you go, you can upload as file if you want, I don't mind.

Ah, I was loading it before RJWex, it doesnt seem to make any errors when I load it after it.

Guess I was too strict with not loading things after RJW unless they asked for it.

That said, since its now loaded after racemods, its overwriting their body textures, or would that happen regardless?

Depends on the race, if they use the base human body then yes, if they have their own body, unless you have a patch for GD then it won't, cause the mod just looks for textures with "fem" on the name for females, otherwise does nothing.

Hmm, I dont really know if Rabbies are using the base human bodies but they had their own textures before I added GD.

You mean the female rabbies have female(from the mod) bodies? Or they are getting male bodies? You can download a patch for the textures of this mod or change them yourself. Just replace the images in Mods\GenderDistinction\Textures\Things\Pawn\Humanlike\Bodies. Otherwise is not that flexible, it seems Alien Races handle that better now days. You could try with Malibody and replace those images if you don't like them for another body and shouldn't have problems.

@IntelligencePending just noticed I made a noob mistake and left a lot of dlls from the base game on the Assemblies folder, please update, I'm sorry

Shit happens haha. No worries this time though, I actually noticed that and cleaned it up before I uploaded to the main page. So we're good, but thanks for following up on it!

However I did leave Harmony.xml, I can remove that if necessary but I was worried 0Harmony.dll needs it.

As for Alien Races, GD *shouldn't* interfere at all with that, unless the race is trying to put one of the default unisex bodies and clothes on a female in which case you'd probably want this mod to be working. My own testing seems to indicate this, as I myself use it for the androids mod.

Still, a lot of what the Alien Framework does is dark magic in my eyes, so I won't rule out some obscure incompatibility. Thankfully though I believe there's already a mod to make that framework do what GD does on Steam Workshop so you could probably safely migrate and if for some reason you just want these textures you can copy them over.
