Really a beginner. A help

Recommended Posts

Good evening to all,

meanwhile forgive my bad English but I don't know the language and I helped myself with the automatic translator. I anticipate that I am really an ignorant on the subject but I recently discovered this forum and I wanted to understand something more about how to manage the Mods for this game that I am passionate about but unfortunately despite having installed some Mod (even from this magnificent site) still not I can handle the game very well. I tried, for this reason, to cheer up a screen of the Mods loaded on the game and to start I wanted to know from you that you are good and experts if meanwhile these Mod's are going well. I state that I have installed version 1.10.120 of Fallout 4. Meanwhile, I'll list some messages because I just started. Some error messages appear as soon as I enter the game: for example: $ NO_F4SE.

Means that it is not detected, although I have installed, with NMM, the version f4se_0_06_16.

Then another message appears: Please re-install Mod Configuration Menu. Reset sex "EM UP'S MCM to get the MCM Working. I tried to reinstall MCM but it always gives me this message.

Sometimes then I see the characters in Sanctuary Hill who sketch a sexual approach but remain incredibly dressed. And their approach takes a few seconds. How can this be solved? And how can I approach them?

I know I lack the basis for this, I ask for your help to start from the basics. In essence, he asks you with great humility, if there is a guide for beginners like me that explains in an elementary and simple way all the steps and actions to take to carry out the actions of the characters.

I would be really grateful and grateful for any help and if you want I leave you my e-mail if you want to contact me in private or send me material to study (preferably in word format so I could translate it)

If your help is not possible to have here I leave you my e-mail    snino@email.it.

I thank you very much and warmly if you would give me a hand and maybe I could with someone honest and loyal that wanted to contact me also to work through Team Wiewer to solve this problem.

Thank you very, very much in advance

I don't even know where to start. Just from the little you've showed here in your screenshots, you have basically a complete mess to put it mildly. My suggestion is you uninstall everything you got from here and start over. There is many many guides to help people through the process.

You have multiple copies of the same files in some instances and for some of them youre using the up to date ones and others youre not. You also have files from 2 different frameworks installed that do not work together.

The best thing you can do is put this on hold and read multiple posts and threads to get a better understanding of how these mods work and what you should be looking for. There are many people here that go out of their way to help people (myself included) but your set up right now as it is, is so far gone I just don't have the time to even begin trouble shooting it.

The first and main thing you have to do and do it correctly is make sure that the F4SE plug in is installed correctly and functioning as it should be. This is probably the most important step in using mods from this site.

You are going to have to do some homework and reading before you move on, so you at least know a little bit about these mods and what youre doing.

Another thing I noticed is you said youre using Fallout version 1.10.120 with F4SE version 0.06.16. The F4SE version you have is correct but the version of Fallout you are using is incorrect. It needs to be updated in order to proceed. You can use earlier versions of Fallout but when you do you need to use earlier versions of all the mods that go with it. Due to your limited knowledge of what youre doing as you stated yourself, I would not recommend you do this.

So in a nutshell  1/ Update Fallout 4 to the latest version 1.10.130

2/ Make sure you install the updated version of F4SE which you have already.

3/ Read, read, and then read some more

Here is a good starting point for you to check out. Also always make sure to read and pay attention to every single mod you decide to use and follow their directions to a "T"

Quindi in breve 1 / Aggiorna Fallout 4 all'ultima versione 1.10.130

2 / Assicurati di installare la versione aggiornata di F4SE che hai già.

3 / Leggi, leggi e poi leggi ancora

Ecco un buon punto di partenza per il check-out. Assicurati sempre di leggere e prestare attenzione a ogni singola mod che decidi di usare e segui le loro indicazioni per una "T"

Meanwhile, a really big thank you for answering me. Then, I will try to follow your excellent advice hoping to solve all the problems related to this game in the meantime I ask only the kindness of being able to inform you in the future of my successes (or my failures) in order to make you aware of my work.
Thanks again.

One last question. Recommend me to continue using NMM or switch to MO2.
Thanks again and forgive the trouble.

That's a hard one to do. So many people like so many different mod managers. I haven't been using these all that long either but I am a very quick learner. NMM is Nexus' old manager and isn't being supported anymore. MO2 has a very steep learning curve, especially for someone who hasn't done a lot of modding before but offers some features that others don't. I personally use Vortex to install my mods and Loot to sort my load order. These pretty much do everything for me, but you still have to have a general idea of what the mod youre using is and what its trying to do. Any mod manager you decide to use is going to have a learning curve and its pro's and con's. If you are somewhat familiar with NMM, as I see you are using it in your screenshots, then I would just stick with that. If you haven't used any of them previous, then I suggest to maybe try Vortex. As I said earlier Nexus is no longer supporting NMM and are focusing now on Vortex and MO2 I think would be a little much for someone with little to no modding experience. I say just go with what you are most comfortable with using and take it slow. Don't install 7 million mods all at once and expect everything to work honky dory right from the get go. Start with the bare minimum and keep going back into your game to make sure that everything is still working the way it is supposed to be. Slow and steady will win the race for you on this one.  I also suggest that you start your new game with no mods installed and play it until you get out of the vault, do your thing with Codsworth and are able to use the workshop in Sanctuary and freely able to go anywhere you want on the map. Once you get to this point, make a couple or few different saves and start from there. This way if something happens and you need to restart you don't have to go through all the opening stuff time and time again.

For AAF to load into your game and work with no errors you only have to have F4SE installed. AAF needs other mods to do anything but it doesn't need other mods to be installed correctly.

Find a guide to make sure that youre installing F4SE correctly, then install AAF. Then go to Nexus and install this-  https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25902

Start your game and open the AAF wizard and use it to cycle through some poses to verify that it is running properly. Then go from there.

Like I said read everything you can that comes with each mod, it is very useful and take it easy. Install a few at a time and continue to go back in your game and check them as you go to see everything is still working and something hasn't stopped on you. It might take you a little longer but your chances of a stable game will be greatly increased if you do this.

Something else I never mentioned and don't know if you know about it or have done it yet, but you need to add a couple lines of text in your Fallout 4 Custom .ini file in order to mod your game. There is also guides for this but to make it easier for you I'll give you the file here.

Take this file and place it in the same folder where your save games are. Usually in Documents/MyGames/Fallout4. If you have this file there already just say yes to overwrite it with this one. This needs to be done to be able to even begin modding your game.

Meanwhile, a big thank you for the availability you are showing me. I will follow all your advice step by step. However I wanted to remind you that unfortunately I still haven't been able to find the version of Fallout 1.10.130 and I am therefore stopped at 1.10.120. I could go on with this but I should install a previous version of F4SE (actually I think I have it I refer to f4se_0_06_04), could this go with the version of Fallout 1.10.120 that I currently have installed? What do you think about it? However, I will be able to give it a try. Now it costs me nothing since I have to start from the beginning. The problem then, as you rightly said, is to find the right mods that are compatible with this version, in this regard, I ask you again (considering your infinite patience), if I can use those Mods you mentioned above or look for others . Finally, Thanks for the .ini file you sent me and thanks for everything you are doing for me. See you soon.

You will also need to back date your installed version of AAF to match your installed game version.

Saluti e grazie. Grazie. Grazie ancora e grazie.53257451_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.07-23_40_58_15.png.897510091032a775647bce5931a8d378.png

I'm assuming you bought your game from Steam. Just go to Steam and update it, its that easy. If you don't want to do that or cant for some reason the version of F4SE youre going to need is this one:

f4se_0_06_15.7z

Also youll have to translate this for me to understand what you are saying in this latest post.

Greetings and thanks.

I believe (or hope) to have taken a small step forward. I tried to educate myself as much as possible and I believe I have arrived at a good starting point. Actually I got to make clean uploads of the various Mods. I installed F4SE updated for my version of fallout (found it was under my nose) and the other Mods (Lookmenu, MCM etc) all updated to my version 1.10.120. Then I started trying some Mods and so far everything seems ok. But like all the donkeys I got stuck in front of 2 cribs.

So I started the game, I opened the interface (or whatever the name is, I did the srceen) in short to activate the Mod commands during the game and here I am stuck like a donkey because I don't know what commands to give. You could tell me a guide for this too, a tutorial. Thanks. Thanks again and thanks.

I only added the screen of my configuration to NMM.

But anyway the F4SE version I installed is 0.06.14 and if I'm not mistaken, it's fine. Do I need to install 0.06.15?

Finally I ask you. How do you see my configuration? Did I take any small steps forward?

However I can't give those commands I posted with the game screen. Do you think it depends on the F4SE version?

Thanks again for the answers you are really very kind. Thanks again.

Yeah you need the file I gave you for the version of Fallout youre using. Until you do that AAF isn't going to function properly. Do that and let me know what happens,

Good morning to you friend. Then I installed the F4se version that you gave me and it seems that AFF works. But the problem is always what I told you before. I arrive at the scene management point and I don't know what commands to edit to make the characters act (I send you the screens for each command option for this). Do you have a tutorial for my deficiency? I also have another problem. To see the naked characters I must first kill them and take off their clothes. Obviously during the game? Finally. According to the screen of NMM that I sent you, are the Mods that I uploaded fine? Are there any others (tasty and intriguing) that you advise me to install in the future, obviously compatible with my configuration? Thank you very much for your great patience.1421468110_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.08-08_26_22_11.png.fd3f082ddc50915b660072dae4c40f96.png1091500586_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.07-23_40_59_51.png.6f84a9528ff0fe6fb5a30713a79a980c.png65972502_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.08-08_25_52_89.png.24e42476288be2cd053ea2ebf19cce3d.png1673486853_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.08-08_26_04_34.png.117575de51c1482658abdc96cf50b047.png

Alright before we go anywhere, it looks like youre in admin mode. You started your screenshots at the settings tab, then animations you have installed, then the plug ins you have. When you put it on the errors tab, is there any there. If no we can move on, if yes give me a screenshot of the errors,.

I'm getting ready to crash, I'm as tired as heck, but I'll give you a heads up in case you return and I'm nowhere to be found or no one else jumps in.

With the screenshots you show here and what youre saying, it looks like and sounds like maybe you have stuff installed correctly.

If there are errors like I mentioned, then we'll have to take care of them, but if there isn't I think youre stuck right here because you have AAF in administration mode. You wont be able to activate anything in this mode, thus its hanging you up.

When you hit the "home" key to open up AAF and you get that little screen in the top right corner, if you notice, it says administration mode. You need to hit the delete key once to change it from admin to scene. Once you have it in scene mode, then you hit the "enter" key. Now you will see another thing come up and this is where you control everything. With the arrow keys you move up or down to select which actors you want and once you have it on a actor you want then you push the "PageDown" button and it will choose that actor. Then you use the arrow keys again to select the next actor. Once you do that you hit the "pageDown" button again. Once you have selected the actors you want then you push the right arrow key which will bring you to the next step. Now you see options on where the scene is going to play out ( on ground at your feet- on the ground at the actor you chose previous feet- 10ft in front of you- or if you have a bed or chair or some kind of furniture built that AAF recognizes you will see these as options as well. eg: Institute bed or couch or bench etc etc. Once you use the arrow keys to select which option you want you then again hit your right arrow key. Once you do this the next option comes up, which is what available animations you can choose from. Use your arrow keys (up and down) to look at all the available animations and once you have picked one you want then you hit the right arrow again for a third time. Once you do that, then the animation will start. Once the animation starts you can then use the pageup and pagedown keys to change the animation that is playing. Depending on the animation packs you've installed some might be just 1 scene and some might transition to different stages of the scene. This is how you work AAF's wizard. There is ways to start animations without even having to use the wizard. Being that you are new to this, maybe just start off with a couple easier ones. The 2 I recommend for you at first would be AAF SEU and AAF Violate. With these 2 mods you can start animations without having to use the wizard. I don't have time to walk you through these right now but if you have AAF working you can familiarize yourself with using the wizard and when I get up if you haven't done so already, I'll help guide you through these other mods. That's it for me right now, have a good one and good luck

If you get going good and decide to try these mods before we talk again then make sure to read the information they give you on their main page to understand how they work. Talk to you soon.

Here you are again, friend. Then return after a war fought by uninstalling reinstallation. In a few words after the last post I had (I think it was this) the bad idea of installing a mod (which I can't remember which one) that blew the whole wizzard out of AFF. Ok, with patience I tried to reconstruct everything and I reconfigured the mods (like the screen I send you). I then tried again the AFF wizzard (I installed this version that you see in NMM but you told me to install AFF violate and AA SEU, by the way can I install them together or does one exclude the other?) Meanwhile, in the end, finally when Wizzard AFF started it gave the msg that "no AFF theme is installed but that this should not compromise the program". I didn't go any further, but the commands responded well and I stopped at the initial settings only to take a screenshot of the "Errors" that AFF detects, just to show them (see screen). I await your new directions always thanking you for your kind advice.

Can you post here a link to download AFF Violate and AFF SEU? Thank you very much.

Ok.Solved! I found the link for AFF broken (version 0.91 okay?). He also tells me that I also need to install AFF basic themes. OK? I ask you please can I safely install everything or do I have to first delete the version of AFF I had installed? To finish you place a word attachment that actually a guide on the correct installation of the Mods, I can follow this and above all (not to create messes) can I install with NMM following that order of the guide?

CORRECT INSTALLATION

There are several good LL guides for creating a working AAF environment. I highly recommend following one of these, along with AAF user documentation. But, for the impatient, below is a quick and dirty list of mods that will allow you to run a working AAF configuration. Install them in this order and always allow files from later versions to overwrite files from previous ones:

1. Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE). Please make sure this is installed correctly.

2. CBBE

3. Bodyslide and Outfit Studio

4. LooksMenu

5. Advanced Animation Framework (AAF)

6. Modem configuration menu

7. Fallout 4 Strap-on

8. Crazy 1.3.7z Four-Play Animations

9. Crazy_Animations (Mod Manager Gun Version) - 3-11-17.7z

10. FO4_AnimationsByLeito_v2.0a.7z

11. AAF patch for leito and crazy fomod v3.2.7z

12. AAF Compatibility Patch: Make sure you select the EVB Body Morph option

13. AAF themes: install both themes (Base, Kinky / Creature). Be sure to enable Creature support in the installer.

14. AAF violation

The above will provide you with a working AAF environment and allow AAF to work with predefined runs. Later, you can install any other animation package you want

OK Hi and thanks. Give me some news. I don't move a finger if I don't have your Go!

Hello my friend
These are the last screen. NMM and those of AFF.
There is a screen of errors that still appear. I can not go on. I'm demoralized despite my stupid efforts I can't send a scene.

The errors are for mods that you haven't downloaded but checked them in the fomod saying that you did. Its hard for me to see what every error is because of the language thing. You also should try and quote one of our conversations so I know that you are trying to contact me. I had no idea you were back and only realized it cause it came up on main page and no one had posted anything different yet.

So language aside I do know some of the errors.

You need to grab these mods to get rid of certain errors.

1/ Torture Devices:

2/ Settlement Supplies Expanded:  https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1145

3/ Unlimited Companion Framework:  https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11829

I'm not 100% sure about the others cause of the language. I know or think the 1 has something to do with either the creation club or Nuka World and I'm not sure about the neosky one. It rings a bell but its not coming to me right now.

Go ahead and grab the ones I mentioned and as always follow their directions and pay attention to what they are saying.

I have to step out for a little bit so I cant investigate right this minute for you. I wont be out long so when I get back I will have more time to try and help you figure it out.

Another thing I'm curious about: Do you have all the DLC for this game?

Good evening, dear friend. Then I followed your installation tips for the mods you sent me, but unfortunately, after installing them, AFF. So I reinstalled everything but doing (this time) a lot of attention to the AFF versions and I think I solved the problem. As you will see I didn't install the 3 Mods you sent me (for fear that it would crash again) you advise me to install them now? all you can see from the screen that I send you. I do not think errors are reported indeed I will tell you that a scene has opened but I very sincerely have not understood how to go on (obviously I wanted to try) the error msg can be seen in one of the screen where I am told that there is it is an error and "the" MM "scene did not start because there are no MALE HUMAN + MALE HUMAN valid animations using those tags: AGGRESSIVE (and the NONE exclusion tags). Install an animation package with this type of animation" . You will certainly understand if something is missing from the configuration. Finally, I believe that all in all the program is correct now. Waiting for your kind explanations I thank you. PS Do you think that if I install the "Fallout.4.High.Resolution.Texture.Pac" update, it could compromise something?930698307_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.11-20_19_43_39.png.9c14de53b4f8063ba01bf9624fa2dc2e.png930698307_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.11-20_19_43_39.png.9c14de53b4f8063ba01bf9624fa2dc2e.png217793029_Fallout4Screenshot2019_06.11-21_36_05_85.png.6e2d297e13193cb1df9fa09b2954e8ee.png

Alright you don't have any errors so that's good. The error for no MM human is exactly what it says. You tried to do an animation with 2 males but AAF couldn't find any animations that support that. There isn't a whole lot of animations that support different combinations of genders as of right now. There is more being worked on and people are adding more options for more possible interactions. The files I gave you to download don't need to be downloaded. I only gave you those because you had checked them as mods you had and that's why you were getting errors. There are other animation packs that work with AAF that you can grab to give you more possibilities for different animations. If you look up a little ways on this page I explained everything you need to do to operate the AAF wizard.

Also if you go into the MCM you can configure AAF Violate and set up all the options you want and also assign hot keys so you don't have to use the wizard.

You should also probably grab AAF SEU as it has a lot of other options that you can use that don't require using the wizard and it can also be configured in the MCM to use hot keys to trigger even more options.

I will give you the link for the additional animation packs you can use along with AAF SEU link, which is on the same page.

Scroll up this page and find where I already explained how to use the wizard and try starting a scene with a female and a male, as there are way more animations for this and make sure that it is working first. It looks like it should work now seeing as you no longer have any errors on start up.

OK !!!

Meanwhile, thanks for all the advice. I wait for you to indicate the links where you can download other animations. I downloaded AFF SEU as you suggested from the page you reported to me. Is this? AAF_4PlaySEU.zip

Can I install it? Meanwhile, I could try other animations by way of training. All right?

I wanted to remind you of the question I had asked before. Do you think that if I install the "Fallout.4.High.Resolution.Texture.Pac" update, it could compromise something?

Hello and thank you again. Look for your new ones

No, don't use that one. I thought they removed that already, I guess not. This is the one you want:

Fallout4 High Resolution Pack has been known to cause some people trouble, but I don't think it was related to AAF, so I guess its up to you. I don't think you really need it, I don't have it and my games fine. If you want to install it go ahead, and if something happens just uninstall it again.

The animations are on the same page you seen the SEU, they are just closer to the top.

Yes. In fact I had not installed it. I was not convinced. I installed what you sent me and that I had also found. For HD textures I will follow your wise advice, I don't install anything. That is fine FO4. I always thank you because thanks to you I discovered things that I didn't even know existed in the game's world. And, thanks to your precious teachings, I began to understand. Now I just have to learn the quick key selection function in the MCM. For this reason, I ask you very kindly a small tutorial for this.

Well, we've definitely come a long way from where we started. Lol.

The MCM is a pretty basic mod to set up and understand. When you pause your game it should be at the very top of the list. You just click on it and it will open.

In here you will see all the mods you have installed that come with functions that use MCM. I don't know what other mods you have downloaded outside of AFF or Lovers Lab but you should at least see the AAF Violate and AAF SEU mods in there.

You just navigate to one of those mods and click your button to open them up. They will be have a bunch of options you can choose to your liking and that's it. When you exit it will save the choices you made.

When you have them open you will see various different options you can choose from. How long you want animations to last- whether or not your companion can participate- how many rounds of sex before your character gets exhausted etc etc.

In these options you will see the option to pick a key on your keyboard that you can press to start dialogue. I know there is a hotkey for flirting and one for surrendering in SEU.

Try and pick a key that isn't being used already and try to stay away from picking special keys. You know ones like the shift key or the control key or space bar, keys like that you should probably just stay away from. Pick basic keys. Like for example in my game I use the letter "L" to start dialogue for flirting.

When youre in MCM navigate with the arrow keys till you get to the option for selecting a hotkey and push the button and then you have the option of selecting which one you want to use. Once you do that, then your hotkey is selected and you are done.

When you exit out of the MCM and then go back to your game and youre playing all you have to do is walk up to an NPC and push whatever key you decided to use and the dialogue will automatically start.

Same goes for AAF Violate- When youre wandering around the commonwealth and come up to whoever (Raiders- Gunners etc etc) and they start shooting at you and attacking you, you then push whatever key you choose to use and your player will surrender. Then you just sit back and let AAF take over.

When you are in the MCM take time to go through every option and set them all up the way you want them to be. For SEU there is multiple different things it does. It has options for Masturbation- Flirting- Prostitution- Surrender etc etc. Click on every one of these options as they will all have their own set of options that you can configure.

Play around with them. You might find that you don't really like the way one of them is working, so you can always go back in and change it to better fit your playing style.

I don't know if you took my advice and grabbed more animation packs from the link I left you or not but take advantage of all available animations you can. The more you have, the more different scenes you will have options to use and participate in. Once AAF is up and running the animation pack are pretty straight forward to install.

Just remember when you are installing to pay attention to their instructions and follow what they say and you shouldn't have any problems!
