Lighting mod (.data update)

Hola, do you guys know if it would be easy to update this lighting mod? It uses DATA 0x545AC67A  0x00B2600F and DATA 0x545AC67A  0x006EE320 in ClientDeltaBuild0. Was seeing the DATA files were different, would you just have to update the instances or would it have to be rewritten?

Thanks for any help! Old and new screens:

Just wondering if it would be easy, or complicated to fix. Mod is +2 years old.

Thanks, R-Lo. I guess I would have to learn about the XML stuff hah...

I manage to make it look fine with reshade but it looks awful in dark-lit rooms hah...

Don't say that as you're probably understanding it more than me,

I just got my setting through trial and error over a couple of years lol

To be honest I struggle with some lighting myself too, especially during the daytime, most of my shots are taken at night and when outdoors I work with the objects or trees etc to create shadows where I can,  rooms can appear dark but that's when it's time to rethink the position of your lights or add some lamps or wall lights to fill that void in the lower half of a room

Thanks, R-Lo. For your words, and your ideas. :pizza: Yea, on my end, it even makes me wonder if there is a bug I'm not seeing.

This outside

and for Reshade too, outside is so much easier to work with, just perfect

Indoor lighting confuses the heck out of me sometimes. When rooms are open to above/below the wall colors change (when using the same color), the color of the sims change sometimes too. I also can't stand how light can bend around some corners and not others (shouldn't do it at all). I think it has something to do with the way shadows work. Take a look at the following picture. There are 4 Subtle Saucer lights; 1 directly over the middle sim, 1 directly over each sim on the ends, and 1 that's 4 squares in front of the middle sim. Look who has shadows, and how dark they are. Note: sim #2 has no shadow, but #6 does, and that #3's shadow is darker than #5's. Lastly, sim #4 has the most light on her, but one of the darkest shadows?!?
