Here is my final unpolished somewhat polished version.

Meaning it's unlikely there will be more updates by me. I still haven't fully played the game to get to the actual polishing, but I did improve and replace a few textures. My hope is that people will fix problems themselves with the Everything download.

Everything needed to continue where I left off: textures, photoshop files, original used art, some random pics and quick instructions.

2 screens for the general idea. The mod doesn't change every single texture, so I feel posting more screens would spoil the fun of running into one.

If the images don't load and clicking the link doesn't show the images either, try copy-pasting the link instead.

Instructions

So there's apparently been improvements to Texmod. Get either TexMod or the improved uMod here. I've been using TexMod 0.9 and the following short instruction is based on that:

If you're not running Borderlands 2 from Steam skip to step 4.
1. Go to your Steam folder and find borderlands2.exe, it's probably in something like 'C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Borderlands 2\Binaries\Win32'.
2. Rename 'Borderlands2.exe' to 'ActualBorderlands2.exe'
3. Place Texmod in the folder and rename it (Texmod) to 'Borderlands2.exe'.
4. Open Texmod (or if you're running from Steam, just try and launch borderlands 2 to launch texmod instead)
5. Click the big folder icon in Package Mode - Browse - Borderlands2.exe (for steam: ActualBorderlands2.exe)
6. Click the small folder icon and open the mod (.tpf file). Click Run to play

Final issues and thoughts
-I added textures that I haven't actually checked ingame, which is a very stupid thing to do, but I didn't feel like spending hours just looking for them. Either fix stuff yourself or post here where the problems are.
-I should've been using .dds instead of .png, so there might be some transparency issues I overlooked.
-I should've added more item-posters instead of only (mostly the same) girls. Feel free to fix.

I enjoyed making this mod, but it's still nice to see this thread's gotten 10k views in 2 months. Guess it's not as dead as I thought. Feedback much appreciated.

I downloaded this, works and looks fine as well.

But my game is lagging as hell now. My PC could reach 120 fps in 1440p with that game, but even at locked 60 fps, the game run's not constand at all and fps drops down each time I move beside those new textures and lags.

The game, the mod and texmod is located on SSD

Any advice ?

The mod's relatively small and I made it on the hdd of an old laptop so I suppose it has to do with the latest bl2 updates. Others have this problem too? No longer have the game installed so cant even check it out

Hey everyone, if you're wondering why your game is lagging like crazy when using this mod or some textures aren't displaying properly, it has to do with the UHD texture pack that was released last year. To use it with this mod (or most texmod mods for that matter), you need to disable the UHD DLC.

Also, I recently released a small expansion for this mod that covers some DLC stuff and a few other goodies:

Download links are working fine. But the problem i encountered, like Aestheticsa too i assume, is that launching the epic games version of BL2 results in an error.
It always says, that you have to run the game with the epic launcher and closes the application.

I tried using a shortcut of the BL2 exe, adding the epic login arguments and the -EpicPortal argument, but to no avail.

So is there any workaround anyone knows off?

Maybe using Epic Games own arguments feature... But i am not an expert, so i am not sure what to type in.

EDIT:

I also tried using BLCMM to add the textures like mods. But BLCMM isn't compatible with Epic anyways...

BL changed the way the game is launched for multiplayer compatibility - and as it guards MP against cheating, it also makes texmod useless.

Does this mean the mod is unusable too, or is there some kind of workaround?

I keep getting a Ran out of memory error. Already tried changing PhysX, Texture Fade, and virtual memory. Still getting a ran out of memory error. Running Nvidia GeForce 1050Ti, 16GB Ram, Intel Core i5 8400 @ 2.80GHz, and game is on a SSD.

Anyone manage to make this mod work? Texmod is practically useless and Umod has no tutorials

Should i try BLCMM?

I got it to work using texmod. Thing is texmods instructions are wrong. It  tells you to rename the bl2.exe  when you dont have to do that  at all. Just put texmod in your file that has the bl2.exe in it and launch it  from there then follow its instructions normally (click big file  click bl2.exe then click little file and add the texture files. Doesnt matter  where  you keep the texture files at as texmod allows you to browse for them. Hope thiss helps anyone wanting to try this out for the first time like i did this week.
