About This File

This is a minor mod which changes various images in the UI to feature nude women with huge breasts. It has no requirements of other mods or DLC, and unless Paradox changes those images at some point it should be compatible with all past and future versions. It is not finished, but enough of it has been done that it can be enjoyed in its incomplete state. I will continue to work on it and update here when I have time. Some attempt was made to keep the original art style, but I had only mixed success. You will surely notice little errors and rough spots, but I assure you those are quite minor compared to how they were before I spent hours refining them. With the advent of stable diffusion (so-called "AI art", though it really isn't an AI at all), many more people have been able to create art who were unable with previous tools. I am such a person. A mod like this is something I have wanted to see for a long time, but no one ever made it. Now I can and have with the help of automatic1111.

Installation is simple. Download interface.zip and unzip it. Then go to Steam/steamapps/common/Crusader Kings III/game/gfx and merge the "interface" file in this download with the interface file in that folder (after making a backup, of course!). Click yes to overwrite.

I welcome feedback and suggestions.

What's New in Version 2024-04-14

Released

Version 2024-04-14

Those legacy track images really suck the life out of me. They are just so tedious because of the weird resolution. This update contains four more. Only six left, but don't expect me to do them soon. To take a break from those I did six more decision images, which are actually fun and interesting to do. The blot one looks weird and didn't quite go the way I wanted, but I kind of like its goofiness. I also learned that the base image name is misspelled "bolt", so I had to write it that way too!

Version 2024-04-01

This is just 6 of the 16 legacy track images. That might not seem like much, but those take a long time and have the added difficulty of being a weird resolution (very long and narrow). I found the task much easier once I split each into 3-4 smaller images, and upon closer inspection I think that's what the original artists did too. I won't finish the remaining 10 in one week, that's for sure.

Version 2024-03-25

I changed the version numbering to just be the date since the previous numbers were meaningless anyway. I finally got my mojo back and made more images. The new expansion gave me many more pictures to edit, and this update is made of some of those. The trouble is many of them are huge and have lots of people, so they take a long time to edit. For some reason my inspiration this time was big hair, so no woman in this batch of images lacks hair which reaches the ground (or it would if it weren't bundled in some hilarious super-bun as large as her head). Anyway, there is plenty more to do but I don't want to exhaust my enthusiasm again, so that's all for now.

Version 2.0 uploaded 19 February 2024

I redid the religious decision picture because I didn't like it and I added some for activities and the search for physician decision. I just had to include the iconic plague mask, even if it is anachronistic. I mean, gigantic boobs aren't correct either, so does it really matter? Anyway, I don't even have T&T, so I never see those images anyway and feel no need to make them. The same applies to the images for struggles. Besides, some of those struggle images are insanely detailed in a way that would be impossible to do in stable diffusion. I thought about trying to make pictures for technologies, but the problem is that they are 180x120 pixels, which is so tiny that it just doesn't work. I could make a larger image and then scale it down, but then too much detail is lost. So at the moment there isn't a lot more I'd like to do other than maybe rework some images I don't like. Which reminds me, I also darkened the breasts on dharmic pacifism because they looked weird like clay. I guess I'll wait for the plague DLC next month.

Version 1.9 uploaded 14 February 2024

Inspired again, I finished the culture tradition images. I took the lessons I learned from the tenet pictures to make some landscapes for the terrain traditions. Now they are all done! Next month that DLC will be released, and I'm sure it will have plenty of art to modify. And there is still the art from the other DLCs, but why bother with screens that you hardly ever see anyway? Then again, every time I look at the game and don't see boobs, I think "why not?".

Version 1.8 uploaded 29 January 2024

Not much this time, just a reworking a few of the tenet images. I'm kind of tired of doing this for now, so I'll probably stop until I have interest again. Presumably Paradox will add more retinues or tenets or whatever, and I'll make images for those too.

Version 1.7 uploaded 22 January 2024

Goodness, this one was a lot of work! This is all the images for religious tenets. Did you know there are 57 of them? I cheated just a little and used the same image for sacred shadows and assassins. Otherwise they are all unique. I had fun with these and some silly ideas that didn't work super well, but I kept them anyway. You don't realize how much art is in games until you're the one making it. I'm not sure what to do next. I suppose the Tours and Tournaments stuff I skipped could be done, or the struggle images. I'm also contemplating redoing some of the images I'm not as pleased with.

Version 1.6 uploaded 15 January 2024

Hot and fresh, sizzling off the grill! I just finished this about 15 minutes before midnight, but I'm still on time! I finished the illustrations for all activities (except Tours and Tournaments ones, since I don't have that DLC and never see them anyway), and I decided I would do the tenet pictures after all. Actually, those have been a lot of fun. I've been especially creative with some of them. I didn't finish them, though, so the rest will come with the next upload.

Version 1.5 uploaded 8 January 2024

I finished all the tradition images. Some of them originally did not have any human figures, so I added them to as many pictures as was feasible. Now only the landscapes are vanilla, and those will stay so because after I mess with them they always look very bad. Also in this version are images for a few activities, namely hunts, feasts, and pilgrimages. I will focus on the remaining activity screens next. I am pondering whether I want to edit the icons for religion tenets. That would be a huge amount of work for little gain, probably.

Version 1.4 uploaded 1 January 2024

This update includes all the images (which have people) of the cultural traditions. It took a lot more time than I anticipated because there were so many pictures. Also, each had to be scaled up, modified, scaled down, and then have its background removed.

Version 1.3 uploaded 26 December 2023

I was away for Christmas but now I'm back. This one includes all the ethos illustrations (stoic, communal, bellicose, etc.). You might notice that the crossbow was just totally removed from the stoic picture. I know better than to deal with crossbows now! I'm quite happy with how they look and I discovered that stable diffusion understands the word "updo". That is quite exciting.

Version 1.2 uploaded 18 December 2023

Finally the men-at-arms are finished. This version includes zupin spearmen, mubarizuns, ayyars, tarkhans, asawiras, tawashis, and camel riders. I also changed the little statues in the war window, so look for those next time you go to the menu at the bottom of the screen to end a war.

My next goal is to change all the relevant cultural tradition pictures (i.e. the ones with people) and the images for hunts/pilgrimages/etc.

Edit: I did not include a few images in the original download and had to reupload it. I'm a dummy!

Version 1.1 uploaded 17 December 2023

I added all the illustrations I finished since the initial upload: war elephants, horse archers, heavy cavalry, bombards, crossbowmen, jomsvikings/vigmen, and huskarls/varangians.

I would have done more, but the crossbowman one was a nightmare; it took four hours. Please notice that there is a large hand prominently in the foreground. Stable diffusion does not like hands, so making that look at least passable was a big and tedious task. I'm not super happy with how that one looks, but I was just so tired of working on it after a while that I thought it was good enough. I can come back to it later if it's really so offensive.
