We were very busy the last several days mostly because of the arrival of Mr. XXX and his family (16 members). Although they said earlier that they want to give us more time for our work, they, however, requested my Prince and Ivy to be their hosts. They will pay extra for that service.

Like last time, my luvs and dad Boss went to the Capitol airport to pick up our guests. My Ivy told me that although she likes Mister “XXX’s” family, she was annoyed by their constant hugging, smiling, addressing compliments, and similar. It was too much for her. My Prince explained to her that being friendly is an American “trademark” and that they are friendlier now since they know us better. Oh, my, she made my Prince and me laugh hard by saying:

- If anyone kisses me or hugs me or tells me how beautiful I am again, I will shoot him!

Anyway, they gave her a nick name: Bella Bionda, and none of them calls her Ivy now. We accommodated them in the Hotel in their rooms while Mister “XXX” and his wife stayed at dad Boss and mom Zdenka’s house.

There are three couples with children: a few babies and a few toddlers. We invited the parents with toddlers to come and play with our children sometimes. The toddlers’ family came to our house one afternoon and our children made us all laugh hard. Since they do not speak English and the toddlers do not speak Italian and Croatian, whenever Mikey and Precious tried to tell them something in Croatian and when the toddlers couldn’t understand, they switched to Italian thinking the toddlers would understand them better. And they were surprised when they didn’t. Anyhow, regardless of language barriers, children played well for they had no prejudices. That is universal all over the world. It was also only a matter of time before my Prince will become “Uncle Prince” to Mister “XXX’s” underage children and grandchildren. You should see the children running to him happily shouting: “Uncle Prince!” He always lifted them in his arms, kissed them on the cheek, and gave them some sweets he started to carry in his pockets like Antonio. The older ones he hugged and treated with juice in his office or hotel café.

Our national soccer team had final preparations in our city. Well, Antonio is acquainted with our selector and some people from his team and he invited my Prince and Ivy to join him in having a drink with them. My Prince told him that apart of his duty, he has no desire to meet and socialize with any celebrity or famous person and that if Ivy wants to go, she can go. She also rejected it. She said the same as him, but little bit ruder, adding (quote): “I give a shit for the famous and rich and sports stars.” Antonio hoped they’d go with him, and he didn’t like her saying. He told her that. My Ivy apologized for harsh words but she still didn’t want to go. Antonio started to convince them to go. Then my dad intervened saying to Antonio:

- I do not understand why you are forcing my son and Ivy to go with you to the people they do not like. Leave them be! Why don’t you ask Mister “XXX’s” children and grandchildren if they would like to go with you. I am sure somebody will be interested in going with you because they watched our national team’s matches and they surely knows many players.

Antonio liked idea. He kissed and hugged my luvs and apologized for forcing them into something they don’t like. Then he went to the Hotel. The four of them wanted to meet our national team selector, his friends, and some players. Later on, we heard they had an excellent time.

And last but not least: Mister “XXX” and his company gave interest-free loans to Dad Boss and Mom Zdenka for buying a bigger and new boat for the guests in the villa who would like to take tourist excursions. Mom Zdenka already ordered the model of the boat and it will be delivered to her one of these days. It will increase the business value and the rent price. They found an experienced guy with a boat driving license who speaks Italian, English, and German for that job. More about other events in my next diary.
