I'm planning on doing that for WhickedWhims traits at least. But maybe I'll add custom traits and add those as positive traits as well. Come to think of it, maybe more of the basegame traits should affect it as well.

That is by design. At the moment there is a lot of placeholder text. All the descriptions are placeholder text, which will be fleshed out in future updates. To answer your question: When I debug I use MC Command Center to just quickly go through stages. You can control pretty much any aspect of your sim with it.

 

But in the long run I find that it kinda takes the fun out of the game to have it installed, as it is so much easier to improve your sim through it, rather than actually doing stuff the way you're supposed to, which again removes much of the gameplay.

I think that squeezing everything into one career can be a bit much if you compare it to the other 'normal' careers.

I'd suggest you split up some of the paths into seperate careers, e.g. the camgirl / nude model side and the stripper / porn star side.

Though I'm probably going to keep it together as one career mod. One of the reasons I started this project was that I wanted to create a career that offered something different than the regular 2 branch, 10 length careers that we normally see the game. And at the same time offer a more interactive/immersive experience in that the player have more direct control over how their sims position themselves in the industry. This way players wont necessarily be shoehorned down the path that I selected for them.

 

I haven't really decided on prostitution as of yet. I don't know if it should be a branch, or if it is it's own thing all together. Also, I kinda have the feeling it wont be long until Turbodriver adds having sex for cash in his mod.

First up I'd loosen the exhibition skill restrictions a bit. With skill 5 being the max, and pretty much getting bonuses for being naked 24/7 it's pretty extreme. I'd argue that the point of a lot of adult money making is doing things your sim wouldn't ordinarily do for cash. It should be more reluctant money making than "Yay I get to strip in front of strangers again!" Have high exhibition skill play a part later on where enthusiasm really makes the difference. Put stress on Charisma before Exhibitionism. Also remember that there is a WW sex skill, while it takes forever to level and changes basically nothing at this stage.

 

EDIT: I'd also hesitate to actually include that much fitness requirement, low levels for sure; but nothing but dancing really approaches that much physical ability. Should also use the dancing skill there.

 

Also considering starting with normal non-adult starts. Like Photography skill and Gaming skill for an instagram and streaming career path. Then at level three or four where you have peaked without a hook, have it change(or branch I guess if you can be fucked writing in the full non-adult option) to sluttier options and start adding in the WW skill requirements.

 

Another thing is in naming the hardcore options and branches. I'd have a true jack of all trades hardcore scene going through amateur through basic descriptions of increasing popularity. Offer things like interracial and lesbian and (gangbang as you already have is a decent example) other different genres as their own branches. Sounds like some pretty solid suggestions, although I think the Dancing and Photography skills might not be utilised just yet, for they are trying not to include anything that is behind a DLC paywall for the sake of including everybody.

I really like the idea of including dancing and photography, as most of the cam girls dance in their streaming and streaming is basically photography. this adds a bit of realism into the mod

 

Maybe (if it's not too much work, hopefully) Insolent could create two versions of this mod: base game compatible, and All DLCs supported?

I absolutely agree with you. I'm going to remove the Interracial Starlet level from hardcore, and instead just keep it as a BBC genre that you can branch into if you want to specialize in that. I wasn't a fan of how I had structured that part originally, and this way it leaves more to the imagination of the player.

 

Perhaps I should loosen the exhibitionism reqs, but by the time a person goes into hardcore porn, they should be pretty comfortable with showing off their body.

 

I'm not so sure if I'm going to add game-streaming level into the mix. I have to see when I get the other branches in place.

 

I'm going to add chance cards later, but I haven't focused on that for now. I like the idea of taking a performance hit for cash. Also, I'm pretty sure I can branch as much as I want.

 

As to dancing and photography. Even though I agree with you that those make sense for the respective branches, I do, as Vengeance_11 points out, want to keep it vanilla compatible. But I might make variations of the branches later, so that people with a certain DLCs can get a more "realistic" experience (as in dancing for strippers).

I think to do it right we'd need to go deeper into system. Simstagram Slut needs to be an at home/active career, titles and rabbit holes don't really cover it.

 

So to do it right you need to actually hook into several systems.

 

Animations for posing...most of which are pre-existing and the Pose Player for Sims 4 is a good place to start to look at as a systemic framework. Just let people use poses that are already out there basically.

 

Then you have to hook into the Sims 4 mobile phone interface and build new arrays for Simstagram/Social Media specific calls that integrate the system.....allowing the sim in question to upload pictures as part of the job requirement, and gaining in total financial worth by amassing followers and in the case of the professional Simstagram Slut, "patrons" who pay money to see "exclusive" picture content.

 

Theres also the potential to cross-over into porn from this kind of career, Janice Griffith being a really good example of how an Insta/Snap slut transitioned via amateur work into more professional stuff....overall it could be a fairly deep branch of any career mod, if not its own self contained one.

 

The system doesn't have to be super smart, effectively you could probably game it by uploading snaps of a cowplant, but the immersion is there, could also have it hook calls to WW and perhaps have WW manage "fan arousal" which could then link into how much other sims that might be "fans" of the model might want to try to get into their pants and what not.

 

Like I said its almost an entire mod unto itself, far as rabbit holing it goes, career titles are pretty easy, if you don't already have them I can DM you a suggestion list on that.
