Can't click on desktop

For some reason when i'm on the desktop i can't click anything and the only way i can click is if i Control-Alt-Delete and bring up the task manager however if i click any of the desktop thats not the task manager or task bar, i can't click anything anymore, forcing me to repeat the same thing again. Anyone else have this problem before?

Did you restart yet? Some app seems to pirate your graphics card. I know some apps (mostly bad programmed games) that can cause this issue when minimized. But i can only guess without more information

I would try restarting your computer it might be caused by a game if you were playing one before it happened. I have had a few times where a game had a bug in it and when I would hit a certain part in the game it would crash and after the game crashed I could no longer do or click on anything till I restarted the computer.
