Mass Effect Andromeda - General Discussion

I finished this game  2 days ago, done most of the side quests(expect for a few mining or plantes quest).

The core problem: It's just like DAI, they don't know how to make a sandbox game fun, from it I learn and thank Beth more, yea, they are not sharpest tool in the shred neither, but their games is build around soundbox in mind, it seem bioware doesn't know how to do that, stories and explore feel disconnected to each other, running from place a to get a quest then run all the way to place B to kill someone/ get something isn't very fun, doesn't matter you replace A with some fancy space setting.

Combat is the few things in MEA has done OK, it's on the same level as ME 3, isn't better or worse, just OK, they do help a little in its aweful sandbox gameplay, one thing they missed is the level scaling, the weapons can't keep up with high difficulty enemies, but the power does, so if you play a character mainly use weapon, good luck with new game+, and as I mostly play biotic, I really don't know why they remove some very useful skills, tested a few builds, I think they are trying to make mix build more apparel to players.

Story is alright, but Bioware told us it was different this time, and how quickly MEA and Ryder just turn into another get a team save the world bioware game, some writing you can clearly see they are not even trying.

About the online shit storm, yea it's ugly all around, but it doesn't bother me much, playing western RPG it's always like that for me, as a long time BF players I can tell the animation problems are not only the art or animation team's fuck up, it's also the engine problem, FB engine is infamous for those bugs, I don't know why EA loves it so much.

but that's not the point, as a PR specialist myself, I don't understand a big company like EA or Bioware doing, they seems don't care or don't even have a PR team, everything is out of their control, they can't even control their staffs, this shouldn't be such a drama, but they failed at PR 101 made such mess.

For my part I simply ignore the strange salvation attitude - the (in fact suicidal) all or nothing - attributed to the respective protagonist and their team of willing in games which BioWare has mastered in ME3 with the introduction of the hero of the serial as the messianic sacrificial lamb on steroids that finally goes over the cliff for the sake of all or none, the classical Passion Play, something Bethesda had already tried earlier in the original FA3 ending on a much smaller Washingtonian scale, but not for long. Instead, as a passionate moron I just let me entertain and forget about the usual flatness in the depth of such a game or... Kill. Me. Now.

How do I update the Frosty modding tool to the latest version?

go to the website and download a new copy of the updated version.

As for ME:A I've enjoyed playing it, I go through spurts - Fallout 3/NV, Fallout 4, Skyrim, XCOM, XCOM2, Tomb Raider 2013, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Stellaris, Distant Worlds: Universe, Borderlands franchise, Sword of the Stars, LEGO games (gots a bunch) and so forth - I just restarted on the Mass Effect Quad and while I will take my time and enjoy myself I understand that many games are not perfect.  I usually just do my best to enjoy the game and ignore the fact that the Mako never made it out of the first game.  Nomad is a sweet substitute though.

I loved drifting with it on the ice planet, there was an upgrade or something that changed the way it handles.

Nomad is more fun to drive than Mako. Not as fun as Hammerhead, though. Too bad the Andromeda Initiative was suicidal, and it's missing a gun. And it's no good at running things over too.
