Can't sleep anymore

I have never had this issue, and have spent several hours trying to figure out what it causing it. I'm on the second night for sleep, having been very exhausted and needing 11 hours the night before ( BPN ). I can sleep 5 hours, in any manner ( 1 + 1 + 3 : 2 + 1 +2 ect...) but once I try for 6+, it crashes on wake up. I have tried w/o SYS, which is the only mod I'm using that has anything to do with sleep as far as I know ( aside from Roughing it, but that works with SYS, I've fully tested in the past ). But it's not just sleep, it's also the wait menu. I can sleep 2 hrs, then wait 3, but if I try for that 6+ even between wait and sleep, it counts all the way down ( I can set it for 10 hrs, it will sleep/wait the 10) then crashes at finish.

 

Current save has 11 hrs slept, 0 hrs waited.

 

Tried with new start ( not new game, just from save 1, in the Alternate Beginnings area) and slept 12, waited 9, slept another 15, waited another 5, all while needing to eat, poop, and bath in between.....

 

I also know it has nothing to do with interior spaces or bed type activators. Roughing it simply pulls up the sleep menu after a 12 sec spell, if it's not interrupted.

Then simple answer: the bug is in your save.  You can load older saves till you find a working save. Then delete all corrupted saves.

Yes that's shit, some days, weeks, month of gameplay lost.

I have to get better at keeping more save backups. I save often, like before going through any door, or right before/after any merchant transactions, and I only had 10 saves from walking around town. It just seems so odd that it would have some issue with any more than 5 hrs. Oh well, at least it was only 2 days into the game.

Got a backup system set up for myself now though, so hopefully this issue doesn't become a recurring thing.

As an alternate, you could try "Tyler's Hungry Sleepy Thirsty Tired" which I really like for its revamping of fatigue usage as well as personal needs.

 

It used to be on Nexus...dunno what happened. Missing in Action. But with it, suddenly damage/drain fatigue becomes VERY useful.

I've used maskars "Basic" mods for a few years and never had this issue. As for fatigue, CombatOmega has SM Enc and Fatigue merged into it. Along with using the hand to hand tweak in the Fundament.ini, I beat people down and it does more fat dmg than vanilla. Fatigue on npc's goes down, they fall over, I pull out my sword and pin them to the ground.    

 

I did find a part od the scripting in my chimaera mod (not my scripting) that does some checking using menu mode 1012 (sleepwait), so I removed that and will be starting a whole new game.  There was a lot of odd stuff in the original scripting. Why would you use GetFPS to decide a timer in a mods setting menu? Here's the button choice for deciding my fly key. This is original script, not me.

Found the culprit of the sleeping issue. It was Roughing It...... kinda wish I had kept the saves from the last time. So arbitrary too. Happened on the 8th night this time, but same 5 hrs max.

 

Guess I won't be just curling up wherever I want, lol. It's ok though, no animations for sleeping with that mod.
