deviously cursed loot bug/(stuck?) on quest

so i got the cursed slave collar put on me when i was looting a chest which start the quest to find all the over items for the high wizard, i got to the cursed slave boots but every time i try to put them on it puts on the wrong item (another type of boot) which makes it impossible for me to put on the slave boots anyone know what could be causing this and how i can fix it? if you need any other information just let me know
