Is there a guide to editing armors via bodyslide?

So I have this armor here:

 

I would like to use body slide to remove everything except the gloves and the shoes.

Because right now the whole thing is one solid piece rather than multiple pieces like glove, armor, boots and etc...

 

I tried googling for it but could not find much.

In the Outfit Studio:
> load the armor as outfit and your body as reference
> click on the pencil icon next to manipulator tool on the tool panel, it will show you the vertices
> then either: mask everything so every vertice turns red, then un-mask what you wanna leave and go 'shape -> delete vertices'
> or mask that you wanna keep (gloves & boots)  and go 'shape -> separate vertices' and name new parts of a mesh whatever you like

> delete stuff you don't want to be there
> do some editing if needed

> export as nif

the rest of the work must be done in CK
