A request for assistance

Hello i have just recently developed a problem where i will try to load one of my recent saves my game will load to the point of the helpful tips then it crashes. I did recently uninstall 2-4 mods that were outdated but idk if it screwed up my load order.

If any body would like to help please do

Can you post your list?

Did you run LOOT?

One problem might be is that you still have a mod or two that are dependent on what you removed. LOOT, MO & NMM will flag any mods that are missing masters.

Is the savegame from before you removed the mods?

Don't do this. There's ways to clean the save, but I've never really figured out how to use them properly. I just start a new game.

You can use FallrimTools to clean your save from scripts left over from the mods you uninstalled.

It requires Java to run.

Inside the FallrimTools folder, run ReSaver.exe and it will pop up a window asking which save to load, pick whichever one you want to have cleaned.

If it loads successfully, go to the top and click on Clean and then click Show Unattached Instances and then click on Show Undefined Elements.

It will then show stuff that will probably be leftover remnants from the mods you uninstalled. If everything there looks like stuff that should be cleaned, you can now click on Clean at the top and then Remove Unttached/Remove Undefined. It will clean the stuff listed. Now click File at the top and then Save As and then a window will pop up and ask you what to name the new cleaned save. Thats it, it will create a new save with the cleaned stuff no longer in your save. Your old save will stay the same in case you cleaned something you shouldnt of.

There's a few mods that use UIExtensions, though I'd have to go through mine and see which ones. I recommend activating it.

I don't see anything in your list that I can definitely say is a problem.

On my system, I've always had difficulties with creature mods, so I just use More Nasty Critters, Creature Framework and some of the SLAL animation packs. I also don't use follower mods. Hell, I don't even use the ingame followers. Just park them somewhere, usually locked in some Display Model II furniture and put on display outside the house.

Anyway, those are the possibilities I would check. But, rely on your own experience with them. If they've always run stable for you before, then they should be stable now.

Ok so i cleaned my game with the jarim tools and got rid of the extra scripts but the scripts keep coming back and they stop my game from loading i would like to know how to fix this

Any info is apreciated!

Did you try activating UIExtensions?

Does the problem persist on lower graphics settings? If not, then it may be an issue with textures.

Beyond that, I'm not a modder so I don't know what all the various tools and things to use are. I'd start a new game and see what happens. Then use MO to de-activate/reactivate mods until I narrowed the issue to the one that is the problem.

Scripts for mods that are still installed will still appear.

I have uninstalled the mods that have been leaving the scripts and the game still crashes i think my method of saving has become corrupt (just a thought) if anybody has any ideads i would apreciate the help

and yes i just did try using the ui extensions and it did not work

do you have Crash Fixes installed?? what you are describing can happen if you go over Skyrim's default string limit (which crash fixes will let you do).

other than that I do not see anything obvious that would be causing the crash.
