script question

Recommended Posts

So I'm on a playthough where my character is some 35% taller than usual. The problem is, this breaks terminals, as the screen is lower than the bottom view when sitting at one. (It also breaks other things, but not in the way that terminals are)

Is it possible to write a script so that upon the animation for going to/sitting at a terminal, the player's scale is set to one, and upon exiting the terminal, set back to 1.35? If so, how would I do it? My extent of scripting knowledge is only as far as what little I've dabbled in in NV, which appears to be vastly different to F4 in terms of creation. Would I be able to do it to other animations as well?

One way to do it would be to make an esp in FO4edit which overrides the terminals, adding the "scale actor to one" keyword.

Problem is that there are a lot of terminals defined. Maybe someone knows how to write a FO4edit script (not papyrus) which injects this keyword into all terminals - no idea if that's possible, but I think it is. I've seen mass updates before, don't think they were made manually.
