Opening Textures with PS CC

Anyone know why some of the textures I try to load appear black in Photoshop? All of the normals I try and open are just black.

Are they DDS files? If so you need to get the nVidia Plugin for PS CC in order to open any DDS for that matter.

I probably should have mentioned I do have the plugin. I've tried reinstalling them also.

Oh lol I forgot. Go into channels and toggle everyone of them off except the last one. Some DDS files are legit just black boxes because its texture is hidden in one of the alpha channels.

I toggled each one and the box stayed black. Sorry I am still new to PS.

I was able to open the hand texture the rest are black.

That is what was happening to me too. I wonder what the issue is.. Other programs like Iframview and Paint.net won't open them either.

For fallout 4 textures you need this plugin http://gametechdev.github.io/Intel-Texture-Works-Plugin/ as it utilises BCn compression.
