Character stucks with angry face after battle

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Every time I'm attacking, the face of my character changed to <mood anger>. Even if I stay in a cell without enemies and punch in die air, this happens. This would be OK, if the facial expression would change back to normal after holstering my weapon or something. But the expression stays. When I load my save, my char starts with an angry expression, that means, there's no reset by reload a savegame.

When I reset the expressions by hand with the mfg reset command, my char looks normal. But when I'm attacking in 1st person mode, holster my weapon and look into the face or the expression parameters in the console, my char's face stuck again in <mood anger>. This won't disappear after waiting and google tells me, I have to transform into a werewolf. That's stupid! I'm transforming to werewolf from time to time, but it has nothing to do with it.

This sucks a lot. Any ideas?

Type "mfg reset" in console and it should go away.

Edit: I should really read the whole post....

I experience the same "face stuck" problem from time to time, I guess its due to too many scripts firing at once, since it only appears to happen for me when I use many combat altering mods or mods that fire scripts when something happens.

For example:

1. Using Defeat and Sexlab - no face stuck bug

2. Using Defeat, Sexlab and any Succubus Mod - face stuck bug happens

In my case its due to the extra Scripts firing at the end of a Sexlab Scene maybe overwriting the mfg reset face Script or something, in your case it may be some combat Scripts that prevent the expression reset from happening or just lag. A load order could help to find out whats causing this problem for you - but just to make sure, you do use usleep?

Hmm, do you have mod for headtracking? Those mods (headtracking) a really buggy at all.

Did u try to clean save game with special programms? Example, Papyrus Data Transfer.

No headtracking mod. Never installed.

I will try this tool. Thanks for the advice.

I had Defeat installed in the past. Then I tried to update some mods (SL, MNC, ...) and missing the MCM of Creature Framework. So I didn't installed the new version of Defeat, until I solved the MCM problem.

I didn't install the usleep Mod, because all of these sleep mods came with a lot of bugs. I wish, there would be a really good one, but I never found a well working "see u sleep" mod. Do you know any?

Here's my mod list:

Usleep is the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch. You should REALLY use this.

It's not a sleeping mod.

If you're looking for a lightweight "actually get into bed and sleep mod"

try: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67763/?

Just to be sure, are you sorting your Load order with LOOT, running FNIS, using SKSE & it's correct ini settings etc?

:D I had "see u sleep" in mind. Well, I had several unofficial patches installed and changed to the legendary now. I also cleaned my latest save with the Savegame script scalpel (Papyrus Data Transfer tool) and reinstalled some of my mods. The missing MCM came back (yay!), but my char still look angry.

When I equip my sword she looks angry. Then I reset expressions (mfg reset). When I fast travel into a town (no battles so far) she looks angry again. Uggh... (it was a sunny day in Skyrim -> This could not be the reason)

I have the latest files installed (SKSE, FNIS, etc. and I'm always sorting with LOOT).

My machine isn't that week. Take a look:

Case: Antec Dark Fleet 35 Midi-Tower

Power: Antec High Current Pro 850W

    CPU: Intel I7-3770K 3.50GHz

    Cooler: Thermalright HR-02 Macho

    Board: MSI Z77A-GD65

Gfx: MSI GeForce GTX 980 (4GB)

    RAM: Kingston HyperX DIMM 16GB DDR3-1600 Quad-Kit

    HDD 1: SSD - Samsung 860 Series 2,5" 256GB

    HDD 2: Hitachi HDS723020BLA642 2TB

    BluRay DW: LG BH10LS38

    Keyboard: Logitech G910 Orion Spark

    Mouse: Logitech G9 Laser

Sound: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium

    Headset: Sennheiser GAME ONE

    OS: MS Windows 7 Professional

I'm asking myself, if there's a fix/patch to get rid of this crap?!

Btw: This sleep mod looks interesting. Many thanks.

I have the answer to this problem.

1) Unequip any weapons or spells your character is using

2) Open the console

3) Click on your character

4) Enter the command recycleactor (yes, you're reading this correctly) and press enter

5) Exit the console.

Your screen will go wonky for a few seconds then revert to normal leaving your character with a normal expression.

I tried this on a whim when I was left with no other option to fix this, and it actually worked.

Only problem with using this method is that any and all current magical effects except racial i.e. Nord = Resist Frost, will be stripped. Which means any Stone you have visited or any Shrine effects are also stripped. So, a less destructive method may be desired. I have also heard but not confirmed that Recycleactor has a potential to lose or strip enchantment effects on equipped weapons, armor, but may be bunk.. I haven't got the cohoneys to try it.
