EmissaryofWind Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I wrote this post once and it glitched out so I'll be briefer, not gonna retype all that but: I want to make an eyebrow mod, I can't find eyebrows in FO4Edit. They aren't under Head Parts, and are not in the NPCs' data. What am I missing here? Is it just not possible to add eyebrows the same way clothing/hair/furniture is added? I also couldn't find the makeup in there, I assume they're together. Any insight?
Bloodfang Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Have you tried extracting in the BSA files the head mesh and checked the path of the eyebrows textures with Nifskope ?
EmissaryofWind Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 I know where the textures are in the data, what I'm looking for is their entry in fallout4.esm so I can copy it to make new eyebrows, otherwise it'll just be a replacer which isn't what I want. Plus, the head mesh doesn't have the eyebrows on it, just the base head texture.
Akzyra Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Wow, very weird. I can find some texturesets related to brows, but not enough to cover all that exist. Even searched the ESM with Notepad++. Will continue looking... Edit : Makeup seems to be embedded into the Race Record. Gonna be fun to add new custom ones that don't conflict with eachother and everything that modifies the Race.... And a bit more scolling to the top, I find the eyebrows. WHY they are embeded into it, no clue. Maybe some genius can get them to works normally as headparts.
EmissaryofWind Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 Dang, that's going to be tough :/ I'll see what I can do but I might have to drop this idea for now...
EmissaryofWind Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Okay so I'm thinking the safest solution in terms of conflicts is to replace one of the vanilla eyebrows with blank textures and create the new standalones as head parts. The color options might be kind of a hassle though, but I'll see what can be done that way.
