Problem with Under Saarthal.

So on my latest playthrough and doing the college quests. I kill Jyrik and for some reason he doesn't have the writ of sealing or the amulet fragment on him. I have tried this 3 times now and he hasn't had it at all. All he ever has is his one handed axe.

 

I looked in Tes5edit and couldn't see any esps making edits to him. Anyone got any idea's?

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp should be under Dragonborn.esm in the list, you may have a problem with the order of the mods in general.

I use MO's sort function regularly. Seemingly my loot master list was one revision behind so the USLEEP is in the right place now. The rest of my mods are all ordered.

The sorting tool in MO is no longer reliable. I would strongly recommend running LOOT trough MO instead. Sorting tool does not create "solid" load orders, while current version of LOOT does not randomly toss around files there.

 

But, I actually wanted to comment the following - despite that it is a bit out of topic.

 

If you wish to cut down the amount of ESP-files in your game, then you can do so for all Cloaks of Skyrim and Winter is Coming - Cloaks files, when you next time create a new game. Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade already includes those files and their patches - including USKP Patch for Cloaks of Skyrim. You only need their resources and can disable ESP-files from your load order. CCOR manages those resources and distributes cloaks to characters around Skyrim, when they are selected from it's MCM.

Woot, I wasnt sure about these things(CCOR Supported mods) so thanks for the link.

 

However I do agree with him, run LOOT trough MO and do not use the sorting tool of MO because its no longer reliable.

Well depending on how you want your game to play out, LOOT itself, (regardless of whether it's the MO built in LOOT or not), isn't that reliable - good tool, but not a fire and forget thing in any respect. You need to do a TES5Edit merged patch, then go look at what records are being overwritten by other records, and think to yourself what you can live with in that respect.

Also for merging plugins I find Merge Plugins by matortheeternal is far better than his TES5Edit version, ofc that's just my personal opinion.

I do agree people tend not to be bothered and thats probably a problem. Also I agree that that non TES5Edit Merge Plugins is very good, however thats not the same as a TES5edit Merged Patch, (which is what I was talking about).
