Orc Face Texture Issue - Magub gro-Orum in Cheydinhal

Hello,

 

I have searched the forum and did not did find any similar topic so I apologize if I missed this.  

 

I am having issues with Magub gro Orum's face.  See screenshot.  It seems to have hair taken from one of the Babes hair and face is in strange blue. No other orcs seem to have this issue. I don't even know how to start the diagnosis.  Can anyone assist?  Really appreciate your help.

Use Tes4edit and look at what mods have him in it.

Thanks.  I used TES4edit and see what else was loaded. It looks like only Oblivion character overhaul v2 was loaded and nothing else.  All the orcs are fine so I am at a lost!  Perhaps I am not looking it right.  Any suggestion?

Did you look under NPC's and find him in particular?  That will tell you exactly what mods that are messing with him.  

 

If indeed it is "just" OCO2, then you need to open the esp (or esm) up and take a look at what meshes/textures he has and trace them back to the files.  You may be missing something, or may have accidentally overwritten one when you installed other mods.

 

I'm guessing there is another mod that is tangling with OCO2, but that is a gut feeling.  Also, check the OCO2 page and make sure there are not any patches you might have missed.  Who knows, perhaps the mod author screwed something up and made a patch for it.

Thanks Greg for your reply.  I did check NPC. Perhaps I missed something?  There is no other mods loaded.  All other Orcs seem to be fine and look normal.  Just him.

I find a mod to take off of his clothes and see if there may be a specific texture issue and it looks like his face + entire body texture has this pixelated blue effect on him.

 

I tried to upload a screenshot from TES4Edit but the server is returning an error.  I will try again later.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I removed all clothing and the issue still exist.  It does not look like it is from any clothing but actually from the skin on the body and face.  It is also odd that under TES4Edit this orc does not have any hair mod (except OCO2) but you can see the pic in the prior post it has some sort of babes hair.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Might be a magic effect on his armor.  Try switching out his armor/clothes/rings and see if it persists.

Are there no changes compared to the original/Oblivion esm ?

The lower part you have not posted.

Skin Color values, eyes, hair.

 

If there are changes restore the Oblivion values. ( first backup your OCO esm/esp)

delete the OCO changes or drag-drop the Oblivion values in the OCO esm ( in TES4Edit )

hair, hair length, eyes, hair Color,  the 3 FaceGen data (it is the face shape and also the Skin Color ) and the FNAM Unknown

Then test it in game.

Maybe the hair or the eyes or the Skin Color Settings are wrong in OCO.

Don't think the clothes are the Problem. Many NPCs use the same clothes, and if they do not have the bug the clothes are fine.

Ok it can be a Magic effect bug. A effect was not removed correctly.

Thanks so much for helping me to diagnose the problem.  Here's the later part of the TES3Edit Screenshots.  I am not sure what I am looking for (I don't see any hair mod applied but he seem to have hair which should not have) so I am really at a lost as to what to look for.  Any assistance is appreciated.

Have you tried to set all to vanilla ?

 

The vanilla Version of Maqub  have set no eyes and hair , so he use the defaulf eyes and hair.

You see in your picture no hair is set, so he will use the race default hair.

You can check it in the Orc race. There should be the new "funny" hair shown in your picture.

Also all hair the race can use are in the race section.

 

 

  default Orc hair ( in OCO it must be your new funny Orc hair )

  all vanilla Orc hair and eye

 

 

 

 

So try to set Maqub to vanilla. TES4Edit

 

In the NPC section drag the FNAM Unkown from Oblivion esm to OCO

 

Then open the Orc race section, scroll down to all  available hairs and copy the hair OrcTwoBraids  [HAIR:00066A27] and past it in the Maqub NPC

Then again race section and copy the eyeOrc "Orc" [EYES:0002730A] and past it in the Maqub NPC.

 

( ! If the hair and eyes are not in the race try some other hairs and eyes. Not the "funny" hair he has  )

 

Now he is a vanilla Orc. Test him in game.
