[Guide]Making your male characters HOT

Recommended Posts

At the suggestion of another user , i decided to post this beginner's guide to enhancing Skyrim's males.

Two months ago when i started modding Skyrim, it seemed like a maze to me , especially because male mods are buried in a plethora of female ones, of witch i did not particularly care.

Today i wish to share what little experience i have gatherd in hopes of helping anyone else :shy:

As a disclaimer , i'm not particularly confident in the quality of this guide, please feel free to contribute.

The Goals of this "guide" are:

  • Better looking Characters
  • Better looking NPCs
  • Basic use of Sexlab to perform animations
  • Basic screenshot and GIF making

Again this is for absolute beginners

This'll be divided in several different sections so yeah... buckle up you seat lol

The installation procedure for all these mods is quite simple and is provided in the download links , if you have any issues don't hesitate to ask.

1-The basic requirements:

*You need the latest SKSE as well as Skyui (i suspect you have both already)
http://skse.silverlock.org/
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3863/?

*You'll also be needing Racemenu 3.2.2 (It extends your customization options allowing you to adjust pretty much any physical aspect in your character )
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/?

*Finally you need FNIS , a program to "inject" the custom animations in your game , we'll be using it later for the sex animations.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11811/?

2-The main body and skeleton mods:

The body mod I use is called SAM:Shape Atlas for Males , it is the best one in my opinion .

http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?topic=8635.0

This body mod allows you to shape your character as fat/skinny/muscular as you like as well as change their body hair among many other options , this customization is done through an MCM menu , you'll find further instructions in the link above

You'll want the 1. [sAM] - Core Files V.2.011.18 as well as the 2. [sAM] - Textures (the hd option) you'll find them towards the middle of the page.

The website is a bit lagging ATM because it is undergoing maintenance so if you get the  *Connection Problems* issue , don't worry and just keep refreshing / pressing the download links,it'll work eventually :sleepy:

Here are some examples (And an occasion for me to show off my character lol, don't mind the freckles , these are from another mod)

Muscular:

The combination i play with:

A skeleton enhances you character's proportions , stance and movements , it is needed for the sex animations as well, here's the one i use(the most popular)

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/676-xp32-maximum-skeleton-extended/

For it to function properly , you need the basic requirements mentioned above as well as this:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/601/

Make sure to install everything BEFORE the xp32 skeleton , nothing must overwrite it.

As far as character appearance , you are now good to go unless you'd like some better textures , then see below  :)

3-Textures:

If you like the way your characters look so far , then feel free to skip this part , otherwise choose whatever textures suite you from this link:

http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;cat=58

Below you'll find the specific ones i use and recommend.

*BODY textures for humans , elves and orcs :

I switch between these:

http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=911

Or these:

http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=904

The first ones are what you see in the screenshots of the previous section , i use the second ones sometimes for a more rugged/manly look.

*FACE textures for humans , elves and orcs

I find the original SAM textures to be too smooth for my tastes, that's why i use this:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4141/?      (the detailed version)

Then install this to get rid of the neck seam:

http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=914

The end result: (again don't mind the freckles)

*Textures for Argonians:

These are the best , also the only ones available for the SAM body:

*Textures for khajiit:

Finally some textures for the catz

Here's what i use:

Body:

Face:

Here's what my khajiits look like:

We're done!!! remember that your graphical settings , lighting and enb will greatly influence the way your character looks.

Here's a comparison:

Face without enb:

Face with enb:

i won't be focusing on the graphical issue  because it's a ponderous topic by itself.

 4-The "jiggles" aka hdt:

So making the body parts jiggle and shake whenever your character/npc moves is called HDT physics.

For the SAM body you have the possibility to make 4 distinct body parts jiggle (the butt, the chest , the stomach and the penis, balls included)

The basic framework:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25488-hdt-physics-extension-v1428-latest/

For the butt,chest and belly:

http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?topic=8521.0

For the D:

http://www.ladymoiraine.com/forum/index.php?topic=8494.0

You should know that enabling hdt for the penis will make it unable to erect , it'll stay forever floppy  :(  and the sex animations won't work and your partner will be sucking on air .

a good way to prevent this is to simply disable SAM-HDT willy.esp in your mod organizer whenever you plan for your character to have sexy time

5-The sex animations:

For basic sex animations , only two mods are required:

Sexlab framework:

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/150-skyrim-sexlab-sex-animation-framework-v10rev4c/

And Sexlab matchmaker:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/17343-sexlab-matchmaker-updated-09172014/

Optional:Sexlab Cumshot (Because sex without a cumshot is like pizza without cheeze  :P )

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/22598-sexlab-cumshot-171/

Once you install these two , this is when FNIS (mentioned in the first sections) has it's importance.

Assuming you installed it as suggested , you'll find a shortcut in your desktop named "GenerateFNISforUsers"

If not then browse to ....\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users

Run the program and check the first two options (gender specific animations and skeleton arm fix)

as well as the last option (groovtama's alternate anim)

The click the  yellow "update FNIS behavior" button

You're good to go

Matchmaker is the most basic sex mod ever and works for pretty much anything (different sex, same sex,creatures,masturbation,threesomes...) ,

once installed you'll get 2 spells , one for yourself and one for your partner(s)

Cast the spell on yourself and wait a little and your character will start masturbating.

Cast the spell on yourself and on your partner and you two will be having a random sex animation.

Cast the spell on yourself and on multiple partners and you'll be having a threesome/foursome.

Use the MCM menu to select specific animations and perform them (this is the way you'll find any specific animations you want)as well as tweak various settings

6-Enhancing the male npcs:

A popular mod to do this would be:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61937/?

However i dislike changing the npc's facial features , i think they look good enough with the body and face textures installed.

Their hair however is another matter entirely i like to use this :

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15411/?

Make sure to grab the color fix for both elves and humans.

If your npcs have a brown forehead , then grab this fix

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56551/?

7-Miscellaneous thingies:

8-Clothing and attire:

Please refer to this thread:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/52184-good-male-armor-list/

I'm planning to make a list of all the armors, clothing and other wearables in both  threads , with proper pics and descriptions ;)

9-Capturing:

Taking screenshots is the easiest thing ever , simply press the prtscr or pint screen key

I recommend this mod for better camera control, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33521/?

It'll make your life easier.

For editing the pics i use gimp:

http://www.gimp.org/

For capturing videos i use Fraps:

http://www.fraps.com/

For converting videos to gifs i use Format Factory (a unified program to convert anything into anything)

http://format-factory.en.softonic.com/
