Skyrim CTD trying to load new saved games.

Hio!

 

So I recently uninstalled all my mods, reinstalled the game, re-modded and started a new game. Every single time I seam to have a problem where the game won't load my new games after quitting once. This means I'd have to finish Skyrim in one setting which will never happen. And that's barring no CTD's.

 

I've ran TES5EDIT which only finds a couple errors with some Dragon Eggs from immersive looting, I've ran LOOT beforehand, and I've ran Wrye Bash for a bashed patch for all the leveled list etc.

 

I can see from the crashlogs that it appears to be some scripting errors with actors in the college of winterhold? And it seems to ask for realistic needs and diseases which I've not even installed. I make sure I create new savegames before quitting, so no autosaves or quicksaves as I read someone stating that one should do so with a heavily modded game. I'm unsure if I'm actually reading this right though, so any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I managed to load the game after completely turning off my computer. The same thing still happens if I quit Skyrim and come back later to load it up again without the computer being off in the meantime. Is it possible that the CTD after loading is caused by some limitation on my computer? Something stuck in the memory or something?

Actually crashing on loading a saved game is a very common problem.

The hotfix most people (including me) use is to load a clean save before I started modding, that way I can load that save and right before it completely loads I quickload to my last quicksave.

 

Yesterday by chance I actually managed to figure out why I had random dc's when loading existing saves.

I was having some trouble with breasts acting strange, so I decided to update my skeleton to the latest xpmse (version 2.24 to be exactly) since I've did that my skyrim is playing flawless again without ctd's, including loading a save game.

 

Then again, for some reason this fixed it for me, it's high likely possible u may have other problems; even so...maybe u got the same problem.

I downloaded the newest skeleton, but the problem still occurs.

 

Weird thing though is that whenever I start up Skyrim for the first time on that session (pc has been off in the meantime) it spends a lot longer starting up the game. This usually leads to the saves loading properly. If I quit Skyrim and start it up again directly after it will start up pretty much right away, but CTD as soon as the game loads.

 

Anyone familiar with this problem?

From the main menu, try opening up the console then type coc qasmoke; wait until all the mods are loaded then open your gamesave. This is done so that the game engine doesn't get impacted with the mods loaded up in memory.
