Minoumimi Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Hellu =) So i am having a problem with painting in 3ds i still just cannot manually paint has good has blender i got 2 meshes it is the same body But one has butt and breast weights Butt the breast weight malforms the breasts but the butt looks perfect the other one has only breast weight but the breast weight is perfect.. but when i try to manually paint Butt bounce myself.. it looks like this i just dunno... i redid it 9 times now and everytime i ge that chopiness crap going on..those vertices are all equally weighted so i dunno why it does this...normally it would be a unproper vertice weight doing this but..like i said it is 100% the same weight has the others near it Anyway to copy only the butt envelopes from one body to the other? i saw somewhere if i go in skin modifier and in advanced parameters and save envelopes and load it they say it should work.. But it is not copying the Butt bounce bone weight at all I normally copy paste the entire Skin Modifier around but now id really love to have a perfect weighted body lol.. so i need to steal the butt bounce from the one with the ugly breasts and paste it over the one with proper breast weights Its so dumb barely see butt bounce but...if i am to convert 30 armors to this body... i want it to be perfect since i will be using its skin modifier around
blabba Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 3ds Max has literally no good way of 'merging' 2 skins or any such thing like that. You can't use envelopes on nif models you imported in 3dsmax because the nif format only stores skin vertex data. Not the envelope data. So on nif import you can only paint vertices or assign them on a vertex basis, the envelopes don't do anything. Of course you can circumvent this by using skinwraps or making your own skin.
Minoumimi Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 well problem is if i make my own skin wrap i will then have to redo all weights manually and i cannot do it on 3ds yet or i will have to use another body skin and well all other bodies have weird breasts thats why i need this other body i really only have to add butt bounce to 1 body basically but no matter how many times i reweight it, it just looks like shit tried different sizes,weight i dunno.. would someone with advanced manual painting maybe be willing to just add a perfectly nice round ass looking bounce for me ? :3 Pwwwweaaase =) there is only 1 body size i dont need a _0 and a _1 and skeleton already has butt bones should be quick and would be suppper appreciated femalebody_0good.rar i will continue trying..but id so appreciate it if someone could add it for me <3 i wanna get moving with my armors and i have been wasting 2 days on a tiny butt bounce lol O_o i want my bodies to look perfect grrr!

This lets you copy/paste target bone skin data from one mesh to another. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/files/GUID-CDA1A8A6-2C22-42FD-A966-D2EEFE4C4E3F.htm I've haven't used too much of this but something to be aware of: weights have multiple bones influencing them. The butt has 1) butt bone 2) pelvis 3) thigh and maybe 4) spine 0.
Minoumimi Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 !! that looks like it might work ! thanks alot! hmm actually..since i am trying to either keep the breast weight on one of them or the butt bounce on the other.. if i don't import a bone the weight completely disappears it is doing exactly what i want but i need it to leave the weight on bones that was not imported if not it is the exact same thing has doing a skin wrap

Thanks for making my day Minoumimi. *EDIT* and to answer your question from earlier, I did not include butt bounce due to clipping. While you may have said " it's really not that bad " if I even see a SMALL amount of clipping, it's not going in. I'm glad to see your trying to fix it.
Minoumimi Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 i was able to mix both perfect nude body bounces ! thanks to pornphile !! for new vegas and blender when i weight..meshes do not move or stretch so no matter how many times i had try to manually paint it, it looked horrible 3ds and skyrim is kinda the same basic but so different too this was very helpfull =) i was able to mix the good butt bounce from the armor bodies and mix it with the nude wich had better breast weight so now everything is perfect =) do you want the body mesh? and now i will put that body on all armors and fix the breast parts =) also will reweight the 2 armors i have done and start learning ck =x hope its not too different from Geck i'll show you how it looks on your cuties ! going to reweight my devil armor has we speak and dance the heck out ! =) Been a while i actually enjoyed spending my day modding
