Suludi Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Hi everybody, recently I've been getting a weird CTD problem. The game crashes after 30 seconds in game. Not every time though, if I try to go back on a previous save, it runs fine for a few minutes, then CTD. When I reload the crashed save, it always crashes after those 30 seconds. I thought it might be the werewolf mods' fault but the game crashes even when I'm in human form, and I have absolutely no clue what's causing this. When I start a new character, the game doesn't crash but I would really like to get my current char past level 20 instead of starting all over again... Short of completely uninstalling every single mod, I've tried everything. myuhinny Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Well having 9 dirty mods probably doesn't help your game much as mods with dirty edits and whatnot can and will cause problems in your game maybe not right away but it will come. Clean them with TES5EDIT http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/? There are many tutorials on youtube on how to clean them. The few that I didn't add to the dirty mod count are the ones that have intentional dirty edits done by the mod author so that their mod works those ones you do not clean or you will break them.

My best guess would be that a rampant cloak effect type of script from an uninstalled or updated mod is still doing it's checks on the background. When it "stacks", the game just goes bleep from the incompatibilities. I'm guessing that you started having those issues after updating Sexlab to the last version, which may indicate that an old loverslab mod script that depended on the last version is still running. Had this problem too, couldn't do anything else than start a fresh character My condolences.
Suludi Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Maybe it's got something to do with SOS. I deactivated every single mod, and when I reactivate SOS, I get the crashes again. The save isn't the problem. I have about 3,000 saves on different chars safely stored away, some 50+ on this char since I'm in the habit of saving every two minutes or so. Having an incredibly unstable game does that to you. So I may only lose a few levels butbutbut I want to keep the schlong.... LOL. It's my only male char in three years of playing Skyrim.
