Bodyskin by Armor

What is this tutorial?
In this tutorial I will show step by step how you can use any no-replacer armor, without problems with the body textures.

In practice, it looks like this:
Different body as part of the armor, but no texture problems.
(Please do not look at the HDT, I know it's rubbish - we are all still learning)

Why no Armor Replacer?
For Example, because Argonians look pretty stupid with ADEC textures.

What is needed?
First, to understand my English;)

Creation Kit
Body textures for every body.

Step 1: Create Texture-Folder for every Body type

In this Tutorial, first i create a folder "BodySkin by Armor" in Skyrim\Data\textures directory.
In "BodySkin by Armor" i create a Folder for CBBE, a folder for ADEC, a folder for CHSBHC and a folder for UNP-SevenBase.

Step 2: Download Textures for this Bodies

I highly recommend this Textur mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4686/
Textures for CBBE, CHSBHC, ADEC and UNP / SevenBase are available in the mod.
And importantly, the head texture matches the body textures.

Step 3: Copy the textures from Download manually in the right Folder

There are the textures for the body and the hands are needed.

If not present in the texture mod, also copies the femalehands_1_sk.dds and femalebody_1_sk.dds from your Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\female directory.

These were the preparations.

Small tip: Even if you as the default body, for example, SevenBase are using, it may be worthwhile to perform these steps for UNP/SevenBase.
If you then later on, for example, choose to CBBE, you can still use your armor of SevenBase.
How does it read in step Creation Kit.

Step 4: Creation Kit

If you have not installed CK.
It's available on Steam at Tools.

Open CK - CK is the short form of Creation Kit.
Click in menu top-left on File -> Data.
In the File-Window doubleclick (checkmark) on Skyrim.esm and then click OK.
Now, it may take a while before the files are loaded Skyrim.esm - patience.

Step 4.1 Save as ESP

The first step in CK should always be to save.
Click in Menu top-left on File -> Save.

Enter a filename and click Save.
You can save only ESP.

How ESM files are created, comes later.
I'm using the same name as my Texture folder.
So "Bodyskin by Armor".

The file name is now displayed in the window title of CK.

Step 4.2 We create Texturesets.

As part of this little tutorial, I skip to explain Texture Sets. Those who ask, it can ask in thread.
We need two texture sets for each body.
A Texture Set for the body and a Textureset for the hands.

If not open: Open the Object Window -> View -> Object Window.
In the left partial window is an input filter box and the Object Type tree.
In the right window are the objects.

4.2.1 TextureSet Body

Type in the filter: skinbody.

Nothing to see?
Change in the tree on the left at the bottom of *All.

In the right window we open the TextureSet "SkinBodyFemale_1" with double click - we do NOT copy.
Easy opening and good.

First, we change the name of TextureSet.
This is the ID.
So we change SkinBodyFemale_1 in 0SkinBodyADEC.

Why the 0 at the beginning, you'll see later.

All 4 textures we can now reselect with Edit Image.
See the pictures.

Before for Diffuse Map:

When we're done, we click OK.
CK will detect that the ID has changed and asks if we want to create a new object. We definitely say "YES".

We have now completed ADEC.
post-25678-0-04040800-1397908748_thumb.jpg

This procedure we now repeat for CBBE, UNB-Seven base and CHSBHC.
We only need to change the ID and the file path for textures.
When it finished, it should look like.

We have the TextureSets for Bodies finished.
Absence still TextureSets for the hands.

4.2.2 TextureSet Hands

This is the same procedure.
But we filter by skinhand and now use SkinHandFemale_1.

When it's finished, it should look like.

post-25678-0-40066200-1397909138_thumb.jpg

Switch back to CK.
Click top-left File-> Data.
You see, your file is an ESM, but as a plugin (ESP) detected.
It does not matter.
Activate your File - Set as Active File - and click OK.
post-25678-0-90606700-1397909214_thumb.jpg

If the file is reloaded, just click on Save (floppy disk icon) and then close CK.
Congratulations, CK has your ESP now recognize it and save as the Master file - ESM.

4.4 Use your Masterfile in Armor-ESP's

Open CK, Activate the Armor-ESP and checkmark your ESM.
post-25678-0-25372400-1397909339_thumb.jpg

post-25678-0-83224700-1397909393_thumb.jpg

Doubleclick on the ArmorAddon and select your TextureSet.

If you save the ESP, the ESP needs your ESM.

What ArmorAdoon needs to be edited?
Usually only armor, but also gloves.
Wherever the skin is visible.
See the pictures top.
