Shantotto Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I'm currently replaying NV with Sexout installed, and I've noticed that some of the male skin textures look wonky. See the screenshot of poor Boxcars for an example. It seems to be noticeable on characters wearing armors that show some skin, you can see it on the Legion outfits as well as other Powder Gang outfits (haven't gotten too far into the game yet so not sure if it will apply to Khans or whatever as well). Anyone know what causes this? The only mods I have that modify textures of male characters is Sexout. I use Type 6 but that is obviously for the female characters only. I've had problems in the past (with eyes most notably) but re-applying archiveinvalidation has solved it in all those cases, but it didn't work here.
Guest Donkey Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 yes that is when archive invalidation is not applied or applied correctly, what tools are you using ???
Shantotto Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 I've been using the toggle in the Fallout mod manager. Not enough?
Shantotto Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 It's because you have Robert or Breeze's textures installed but not their armor replacers. That seemed to have caused it, thanks for the tip!
Eyser Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I'm sorry for my first post to be both a necro and a request for help, but the OP adds a picture with the exact same problem I have and I hope you can help. I installed neither Robert or Breezes bodies or textures (or any bodies for that matter) because it's no longer needed according to the description of SexoutNG for the nude bodies. The nude bodies work perfectly fine, but the problem as shown in the OP's picture still exists. I do have Type3M clothing installed, but as far as I know that only includes changes to how female armor looks. I have archive invalidation enabled using the Nexus Mod Manager and in a precious install it worked just fine (my harddrive gave in so had to reinstall everything). There's no folder other than "eyes" from lings coiffure in the data/textures/characters/ folder, so no male textures. Also in the data/mashes/characters/_male folder there is only skeleton.nif from Astymma's combined skeleton I believe and an "idleanims" folder from sexout. It's a clean install with the following plugins in this order: FalloutNV.esm Sexout.esm SexoutCommonResources.esm SexoutSlavery.esm SexoutLegion.esm msexBase.esm NSkies URWLified.esm More Perks.esm More Perks for Companions.esm More Traits.esm PipboyRemover.esm Primary Needs HUD.esm Lings.esm st.esp SexoutZAZ.esp SexoutPowderGangers.esp SexoutNCR.esp SexoutKhans.esp SexoutKings.esp Sexoutfiends.esp Tryout-PG Kennel.esp SexoutWorkingGirl.esp SexoutClothingEval.esp SexoutCheckMeOut.esp SexoutLust.esp Smaller Talk.esp msexVeronica.esp msexFort.esp SexoutConsequences.esp SexoutFadeToBlack.esp SexoutDrugs.esp Neckchains.esp Type3MClothing.esp KDC_Companions_Removable_Armors.esp UnlimitedCompanions.esp Hardcore (Refined Rates).esp Centered 3rd Person Camera.esp More Perks Update.esp PerkEveryLevel.esp populatedcasino.esp LingsPrettyThings.esp The Mod Configuration Menu.esp T6M CH Raider Armor.esp SunnyCompanion.esp Since the description in SexoutNG tells me it is not required to install bodies I am reluctant to install Breezes because it might mess things up more than it fixes. Has anyone any idea what could cause it? Thanks upfront for the help and a whole lot ot thanks to all the modders on this website! For a long time I thought the bugridden animated prostitution mod was the best to get until I discovered LoversLab and I love you guys now! Keep up the good work, it's appreciated!
ChancellorKremlin Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I have to say, I've also had this problem and that's with all of Breezes armour replacers installed - only for that particular set of armour though.

Thanks that at least removes my temptation to try out Breezes in an attempt to fix it. Forgot to mention in my previous post btw that everythings else seems to be working perfectly together, no crashes whatsoever, allthough the guy that Eddie from the Powder Gangers wanted removed (forgot his name) did not update the quest with the sex option so had to use the speech option instead since fighting with my pipboy deactivated, unarmed in junkgear didn't seem like a smart move.
BruceWayne Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 There is no harm in installing Breeze's body replacer over sexouts. In fact I'd even recommend it, because it comes with armor fixes (seperate downloads). Here is the link: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35451

Here is the link: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35451 I took your advice (did backup the data folder to be sure though), but used the all in one version from http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/48222 which seems a more recent one. Used the manual install info to turn it into a rar file and imported it into the game through NMM. Only been able to play a little so far and only met 1 guy with the same type of armor as shown in the OP's picture and if that one guy is any indication, the problem seems to be fixed. I hope it will be the same for all male armor that shows some skin, but only time will tell. Thanks.
theskid Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 This issue is fixed if you install breeze's with all armour dlc's and the armour patch. Sexout's default breeze seems to be missing the armour fix that prevents this issue. Maybe it should be put in the FAQ.
wildtangent Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Had this problem this is what I did to fix http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35451 (the one that is NMM compatible is missing something, or dosn't install something right) Download all of the main files manually. (Preorder, and Dlc's not nesasary if you don't have them) Extract them all and make folder called breezes body and armor (or whatever you want to call it) Make data folder inside previous folder then drag, and drop texture and mesh folders into data folder. Now for the body texture he has a choice of 3 choose the one you want, and rename it to "upperbodymale.dds (_n.dds, _sk.dds all three texture layers) Then for the body mesh you have 3 choices again rename that on to "upperbody.nif"
