In-Game Menus Lagging Behind

So here's something I've never encountered before, or at least don't remember encountering... The in-game menus (for example: Pinup Poser, Puppeteer) have started to lag behind the actual game. I'll hop into my favourites tab and strike a pose and it will idle for about 30-40 seconds before taking action. The same goes for opening the menus. When I open a menu, it won't actually open until around a minute or so after I have initially opened it.

 

This doesn't happen to other menus like the inventory, favourites tab or journal, however. Just the modded menus. If anyone knows a fix, it would be heavily appreciated. Almost forgot to mention that this kicked in yesterday and I don't remember loading any mod that would truly have an effect on this. I'll give you my load order regardless since I think it does have something to do with the loading of my mods. BOSS and Wrye Bash are giving me no help, and just telling me that everything's fine, however.

Also, I'm running up to date SKSE and FNIS 4.0.3.

FNIS is way out of date so just tell me if I should really do anything about that.

Edit: I did have a different load order but BOSS changed it, once again. It's back to normal now but it still lags.

This is usually script lag. How big are your Papyrus logs? I don't see a lot of heavily scripted mods in your load order, so have you removed some scripted stuff?

The last mod that I removed that I believe to have had scripts was Schlongs of Skyrim about 2 weeks ago. No, I didn't uninstall it correctly mainly because I thought nothing of it at the time. You bringing this up now is sort of worrying though, haha. I might be wrong but none of my past saves are screwing up and I don't regularly remove my saves. If this is it, how would I clear things up? I'm expecting a lot of steps, huh? This'll be good because I've been meaning to remove FIO for a while now

Getting away from script lag is tough. Scripts stay baked into game saves. Soooooo....go back to a point before having that scripted mod installed is you best bet. Or adding it back into the game so the orphaned scripts have something to do.

 

You can also make a notepad file with

 

[General]

ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

 

these lines in it, then save the file as "SKSE.ini" and place it in Skyrim/data/SKSE. This will eventually kill off orphaned scripts, but may take quite a while.

 

Keep in mind that Pinup Poser is a script pig itself and it's been known to wig out and break other peoples' games. It seems quite common, although it sure doesn't do that to everyone. It just seems to find some other mod it doesn't play nicely with then go haywire.
