CTD when equipping TBBP Armor/Clothing,

I am having a bit of a unique error, and I've started noticing this more today as there's been a few nice TBBP CBBE body slide conversions.

 

The issue that impedes my use of these lovely TBBP conversions is that when I equip them I crash.

 

I've tried everything. I've tried installing the Groovtana Skeleton, turning off HDT, running FNIS, and even turning off ragdoll style mods. Nothing.

 

The weird part about this error is that I can turn non BBP/ TBBP armors into TBBP and things go fine, but once I try to take an armor that was converted to TBBP or BBP, or even was originally BBP/TBBP I crash to desktop on equipping. I am able to make Armors TBBP and equip them with no problem from body slide 90% of the time, which is why this is confusing me even more.

 

I am not sure what's going on and wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions.

If you are crashing when trying to put on something with BBP/TBBP it means skeleton problem you need a skeleton that is compatible with the type of TBBP you are using if you try to wear something with BBP/TBBP without having a skeleton that is compatible with it you will CTD. If a person converted something to TBBP/BBP then you need to find out what skeleton they were using when they converted it.

CTD means usually a skeleton issue, yes.

 

For TBBP you need three things:

 

1) a skeleton that is TBBP capable

2) TBBP animations (Dragonfly, R1313 or else)

3) a body or outfit/armor mesh that has special weighing to be capable to perform the TBBP animations

 

For number one the XP32 skeleton is a good choice. It's mostly compatible with everything, but the person who created a TBBP mesh and/or animation might have used another more exotic or custom skeleton.

 

-missing number 1) results in a CTD whenever you equip a TBBP naked body or armor mesh

-missing number 2) usually has just the consequence that standard non TBBP animations will be played

-missing number 3) might result in bad looking deformations while an TBBP animation plays, but it might also just play a "shortened" type of TBBP animation (for example if your body/outfit mesh is at least BBPable, but not TBBPable you get an animation with BBP, but no TBBP and without butt bounce.).
