All lights emit extremely loud humming noise

Whenever I get into proximity of a light source, even small light fixtures they emit an exremely loud humming sound that physically hurts my ears, and it 1000x louder than anything else in the game. Anyone know what mod/setting causes this? Is there a way to just remove that sound all together?

Argh... I remember having this exact same issue a while ago, but I can't remember how I fixed it. I was something mod related, as I recall. Could you post a load order?

I've seem to have jerry riged the problem by swapping the the flouresent lighting .ogg files for the neon files in the main sound .bsa for FNV by adding them via

Data/Sound/fx/emt/neonsign/...

I suppose a blank sound file would work as well.

here's my load order if you think you remember which mod it is

Played for a couple hours without problem so I guess its solved. All of the forum posts you find online are extremely vague on how exactly you do this so if anyone comes across the problem here is how I fixed it anyways.

1. Open the main Sounds.bsa in /data with software that handles bsa files

2. extract everything to a temp folder

3. find fx/emt/flourescent...

4. there should be some ogg files named ...1 ...2 ...3 ...4 ... rename 3 of  them to the 3 files found in fx/emt/neonsign/

5. create this directory in /data of your FNV directory (Sound/fx/emt/neonsign)

6. place the renamed flourescent ogg files into that directory, this will take prioity over the ones in the sounds.bsa (the ones causing the loud noise).

essentially you swap out the neon light sounds for the flourescent.
