Looking for the best...

Iv been playing Skyrim for probably a year now and have changed out body meshes, animation packs, body textures, ect.... everything.... However, every time i come onto the Nexus forums, HDT forums, or even LL forums and see images of mods being showcased, my character never looks anywhere near as good as the ones shown. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with a list of mods to make my character look REALLY good, anything from Idle animations, body textures... anything, anything that could possibly help out... everyone enjoys Skyrim more if they have a character they enjoy.

 

Side note, i put this in the adult mods section because it seems anything pertaining to body meshes and the sort is better found here.

Check that thread. Lots of people posting pics and offering help on how to make those characters.

 

Honestly, I think some of it is voodoo... I can make my character look pretty nice, but some people are just gifted. It's an art, I think.

Oh my, there's so many of them. For idles I use the pretty idles series. There are many choices to pick from in each of those so you can hopefully find something you like.

I prefer bustier characters so I have used UNPB, Sevenbase Bombshell, and more recently UNPBO. Armor for each is interchangeable, your body changes a little but not enough to bug me.

For character creation there are two big ones. Racemenu- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/? and ECE- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12951/?

Racemenu has more plug ins for it, you can get tattoos and all sorts of things. ECE is more in depth in my opinion, it doesn't have all the tattoos and stuff, but it really lets you get into the nitty gritty. You can change anything on your character with it, up to editing your facial vertices. ECE also lets you import other peoples faces provided they have them saved as CME files, there's quite a few nice ones to use as a starting point. A good quality ENB is definitely a good way to go if you want stunning visuals, they can even make average body textures look smooth and refined.
