Strangest CTD...

OK first of all, this only happens on my new gaming PC. My laptop has no problem despite the same files and same config.

 

When i enter a big place, eg exit riverwood inn or enter whiterun city, i would CTD after walking like 2-3 steps. But then when i reload the autosave, i dont CTD anymore. 

 

My system is stable with 8gb ddr3 ram, i5 3470 and AMD r9 270

I also use mods like populated cities 2, travellers of skyrim and interesting/inconsequential npc

 

Why do i CTD? Lack of memory? Or windows 8 problem?

Post your load order.  Always, but especially with these king of questions.  The mods you listed are scripted mods, so in conjuction with other mods you have, you might just be overloading skyrim.  You may have mods that conflict, and that could be the source of your issues.  Again, post a load order (WB and NMM both can export, and I believe Mod Manager can as well).  Also, make sure to post the order in [ spoiler ] load order here... [ /spoiler ] tags (remove the spaces for use...)

Boss didnt show any conflicts(besides that navmesh one). I also played with these mods on my laptop and its stable. Nt sure why on my desktop it isnt.

 

Also sometimes outdoors near villages/towns(not interiors), i would get 1 fps when looking at certain objects. These objects are random. I suspect this is related to the crash but i have not worked out which mod causes this.

You have inconsequental npc's plus aroused+wet and cold, that *may* cause instability if you dont tweak your papyrus settings propertly. I personally dont know what 'propertly' means in this case, to be honest... Maybe rising "fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS" and "iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes", someone with more knowledge than me can help you better or google for more info xD

My hubby is a hardware guy, and he suggests checking your game visual settings.  if you are running an ENB, you may look at making sure the FXAA???? settings are turned off on your new Desktop.   He's fixed all kinds of settings on my video card, so I don't even know what to ask you.. But he says since both games are 'identical' then it has to be a hardware issue/difference between your laptop and desktop and possibly a more advanced driver??? 

 

Not sure, but he's never failed me... hope that helps you some.

i do think it may be the driver. My desktop has the 13.12 AMD whql while laptop has the 13.6 whql

Also my desktop GPU is factory OC-ed. I suspect it is simply too many scripted mods running anyway since vanilla skyrim is no issue for my desktop. Thanks anyway.
