Pandora Behaviour Engine + Mods (SL, ZaZ, DD)

I didnt play and mod skyrim for like half or a full year~


To my big suprise, there is pandora now, with full creature (?) support and processing in lighting speed. 
However, is that all working? 
Last time i switched from FNIS to Nemesis i remember some shenannigans and ultimatively run both, which was somewhat uncomfortable, especially when adding new creature animations.

Does this all work out of the box with pandora now? (1170 version) 

And if not, some people may enlighten me if there is a workaround or solution? 

 

So far, MCO and Tk Dodge work

No shit sherlock. Pandora is new and there isnt much to find.

Anyways, after trying some different ways, i found both working at the same time with some similar shenanigans we used for FNIS+Nemesis

 

 

For anyone interested:
 

Run Pandora (for creatures), delete Pandoras Nemesis folder on overwrite directory. Then run Nemesis.

Yea its either Pandora for Creatures and Nemesis for everything else 

or

Fnis for Creatures and Nemesis for everything else. :D

 

Since Pandora is running much faster than FNIS and more stable (for me at least) i figured Pandora+Nemesis is slightly more comfortable.
Maybe maybe at some point Pandora is able to do it all alone, lets see ^^

There is no reason to run any other animation framework with Pandora. In fact doing so is more likely to break stuff than help anything. Unless you are trying to specifically overcome a Pandora limitation, like the paired offset animations in ZAP or some versions of dodge mods.

There is also other limitations such as some dodge mods, some mods from everglaid, ZAP and some other few in my list. Pandora has issues assigning anims through a script.

Hopefully it will be supported by Pandora at some point but for now it's essentially just discarding FNIS for Pandora (for creatures) and using Nemesis for everything else

Depends on the animations you use. Zaz isn't a big issue for me, I have never used Nemesis and I haven't noticed any problem with 'scripted animations' - never heard of them before now. PBE is still in Alpha so it's early days, though I am getting a bit concerned that there doesn't seem to have been much action for a month or so (unless I missed it).

hey man, i've tried pandora. so far so good. but the only problem are its  messing ZAZ animation which very important for SL content but someone already made patch for it.. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/118153?tab=description.. also some animation like  "animated potion" doesnt work change to Ultimate Animated Potions NG

tk dodge se/re need patch here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/111788?tab=description, other animation like skyclimb, MCO, any other behavior related are good except immersive interaction... for some reason only some animation works but the majority are nope and sometime cause CTD.. for now i recommend Dynamic looting and Harvesting Animation  as subtitude..

if there is more please let me know.

as for ZAZ animation i prefer blending with fnis.

Pandora is still in development, but for myself, It has (almost) completely replaced FNIS and Nemesis. some mods just don't work with Pandora however. Pama's Deadly Furniture is so far the only mod that I found that doesn't work with Pandora. however I just run FNIS and Overwrite it with Pandora, and I haven't come across any issues... yet.

I pretty much did the same thing as FNIS/Nemesis.

 

I just ran FNIS with only FNIS enabled and Pandora Disabled, and vice versa, and enabled both of them when I played the game, with Pandora overwriting FNIS. I didn't really do much other than test some furniture and didn't have any issues or CTDs.

all the furniture I tested worked just fine and as intended. I don't know about Pama's other mods other than Deadly furniture though.

I am using Pandora Behaviour Engine v2.0.4 alpha (current lasted version) and it works like a charm for human, creature and devices with less than 20 second for 40k animations.

Disable FNIS, include Creature pack.

Disable Nemesis.

Only use Pandora.

....

Work very well with all (maybe) mods that require FNIS and Nemesis.

 

Before using Pandora, I need to use FNIS for creatures and Nemesis for other animations, but the problem comes when some attack behavior mods for some creatures require Nemesis to work and it messes up because Nemesis doesn't have full support for creatures.

But Pandora fix them all, it allows SL creature animation work with creature behavior mod like Draugr MCO or Troll MCO, any mod that says "only work with Nemesis" like skyrim's Paraglider are working fine without issue.

 

Give it a chance, you can easily testing animation with SexLab MatchMaker before start your run.

I'm having a problem where chauruses get stuck in idle animation during sex, after working for a short time. This is on version 1.2.2 so I updated to 2.0.1, but now actors in every sexlab animation gets stuck in idle. Has anyone else had this?

as of Pandora 2.3.0-Beta, I am running it solo and all "my" SL animations are working as expected. It includes Zaz furniture support as well.

how did you transition from FNIS/Nemesis to Pandora?

I was Nemesis only, but I had not uninstalled my FNIS mods, just unchecked and left them out of my last play-through. (mo2) I literally just unchecked Nemesis, installed Pandora like a mod, placed it next to Nemesis in my LO, then ran it. It worked like a charm, so I re-enabled all my FNIS mods and ran it again, and boom, I was up and running in like 5 minutes. It was easy. by Ran, I mean set up Pandora as an executable icon, and ran it putting output in an empty "Pandora Output" mod, just like Nemesis and FNIS.. Im running a 700 mod LO.

If you are using Pandora then you do not need either FNIS or Nemesis.

Correct. My intended meaning was that I re-enabled FNIS and Nemesis dependencies. I removed FNIS and Nemesis themselves.

PamaPrison and its ZaZ gadgets didn't work for me with Pandora.

  • I ran FNIS with Pandora turned off.
  • I turned off FNIS with FNIS Output and ran Pandora.
  • I turned Pandora and FNIS on. I let FNIS overwrite Pandora files.

And it worked. Took me more than 2 hours of testing.

 

Tried to turn off FNIS Output and leave only FNIS - it works.
Tried to turn off FNIS and leave only FNIS Output - does not work.

 

The sign below with the question mark continued to light up with FNIS activated, even though everything started working. It turned green only with FNIS Output enabled with FNIS. I had a similar issue due to me not realizing I had K'Series Poses which was incompatible with my version (1.5.97), which was causing T-posing in my game.

 

Probably just have to disable mods and re-run Pandora until you fix it, if that doesn't solve the T-posing then I'd assume it would be an issue with your Pandora install. Also make sure you don't have your old FNIS files in your output/overwrite.

I'm trying to use pandora only for zaz8+ on sse 1.5.97. I can't get any furniture animations work. NPCs just won't do anything when I try to make them use a furniture. Same for player character.

 

Player character will walk up/teleport and pause for a moment like it often does when an animation is about to play but then nothing happens.
