[Solved] (Lovers and xObse) Several Lovers mods are signaling script errors

Recommended Posts

Hello! I recently reinstalled oblivion with xObse (not the v29 if I remember correctly).

In-game, I noticed some issues while in the console, such as "Unable to find function definition for command 0 in script XYZ" (attached). I looked up the forums and saw Galgat suggest using obse v0020 if lovers wasn't detecting the most recent xObse. I tried copy pasting v0020 in but it only disabled OCO and things got worse, so I went back to my previous archived folder of the game.

These messages keep popping up, even though self-pleasure and intercourse with guards after "Hey I wanna talk to you about something" work.

I obviously messed something up but what exactly?

Weren't the latest LAPF and PK extender supposed to work with the latest xObse? Which version should I get? Should I reinstall both Obse and Lovers from scratch?

Right now, I don't have that many mods beyond replacers + MBP + OCO and patches. I do have a bunch of OBSE plugins in my OBSE folder, but I only followed instructions from Fejeena's thread in "basic tools", so nothing too weird:

Maybe sort your Mods. You didn't follow the instructions in my Link

Knights.esp   wrong position

All DLC patches   wrong

Beautiful People  wrong

Lovers Mods   wrong

VipCxj_HighHeels.esp   wrong

kuerteeCleanUp.esp    wrong

CM Partners.esp    wrong, before Beautiful People

Synx.esp, Terimer.esp, Warcraftelf.esp, Vampire Race Reloaded.esp, 1em_Vilja.esp      wrong  , after Beautiful People

Oblivion_Character_Overhaul.esp    wrong, after Beautiful People and race mods

. . .  load order is a mess

Game NOT in C : program files ...   or OBSE does not work

I use OBSE 21 . I don't have Mods that require xOBSE

After sorting your Mods start a new game !  do not use an old save !

Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply. I've taken another look at your thread and I noticed I (foolishly) skipped the load order section - I was already basing mine off another "load order example" on these forums.

I sorted my load order, but then ran into "can't start sex act" bug. I swapped xOBSE for OSBE 21, but Lovers wouldn't recognize it (even though both Steam and the game folder were on D, not C).

While it pains me, I flat out uninstalled the game and am now redownloading it to start from scratch. Thanks for the heads up on the load order.

If I may ask a quick question, which versions of LAPF and PK extender are you personally using? Should I maybe go for older versions and use obse20? Thanks!

There is only one LAPF version. https://www.loverslab.com/topic/21241-lapf/

I do not use PK extender .  You should use the LAPF version https://www.loverslab.com/topic/218-lovers-with-pk-extender-243-re-up/

The first Link, LAPF compatible PK Extender version:

Most other Lovers Mods :

Have you read about Steam in my Link ? You must start Oblivion with OBSE or OBSE didnÄt work.  Read how you do it. ( I'm really glad I have Oblivion as a disk version and not Steam )

OBSE 21 !  First download link Current Stable Version: v0021
https://obse.silverlock.org/

LAPF works with OBSE20 but some Mods need OBSE21
