Nightwynd Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I am almost ashamed to ask this, but I really don't find a way to change it. I should have gotten into Skyrim mods a long ago >_< So, I've been playing after installing all my mods, and I noticed that somehow I am leveling way too fast. Like, absurdly fast. Just in the trip from Helgen to Riverwood and from Riverwood to Bleakfalls Barrow I got to level 8. In like 20 minutes of gameplay. Just selling the loot from the tutorial made me level up twice. I edited the uncapper ini so I wouldn't level up so fast and yet I am still leveling up like crazy. So, any idea what's up? how can I slow it down? This is my load order. 00 Skyrim.esm 01 Update.esm 02 Dawnguard.esm 03 HearthFires.esm 04 Dragonborn.esm 05 ApachiiHairFemales.esm 06 RaceCompatibility.esm 07 Skyrim Project Optimization - Full Version.esm 08 ClimatesOfTamriel.esm 09 OBlHairFinal.esm 0A SexLab.esm [Version 1.20] 0B SPIKE.esm 0C ZaZAnimationPack.esm 0D FixedEyeAdaption.esp 0E Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp [Version 1.3.3c] 0F RaceCompatibilityUSKPOverride.esp 10 realrainCoT.esp 11 Further Dark Dungeons for ENB.esp 12 fantasy music overhaul.esp 13 Weapons and Armor fixes.esp 14 Weapons and Armor fixes - Hacks.esp 15 Bag of Holding.esp 16 bestrape.esp 17 SexLabDefeat.esp 18 Skyrim Immersive Creatures.esp [Version v6.1.2] 19 Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp [Version v6.1.2] 1A Auto Unequip Ammo.esp 1B kuerteeAutoSaveAndTime.esp 1C SkyUI.esp 1D Customizable Camera.esp 1E BAMM.esp 1F CrainteVomir.esp 20 ExtendedVanillaWeapons.esp 21 Gatti12Jewelry.esp 22 Gatti2Misogi.esp 23 GattiBondage1.esp 24 Ghosu - Weapon Pack 1.esp 25 HentaiNightmareArmor.esp 26 HentaiSuccubusArmor.esp 27 hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp 28 Immersive Weapons.esp 29 Auto Unequip Shield.esp 2A Loadout.esp 2B isilNarsil.esp 2C LostLongSwords.esp 2D R18Pn - Diano Armor.esp 2E Ehildils Mithril Armors.esp 2F Edhildils Sorceress Robes.esp 30 Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer.esp ++ Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer - Dawnguard.esp ++ Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer - Dragonborn.esp 31 SexyKunoichi2ndByNausicaa.esp 32 Sovngarde Steel Armor and Weapons.esp 33 TCOSS.esp 34 TERAArmors_CBBE.esp 35 UniqueBows.esp 36 Smithing Perks Overhaul - Balanced.esp 37 SkyRe_Main.esp 38 SkyRe_Combat.esp 39 SkyRe_EncounterZones.esp 3A SkyRe_EnemyAI.esp 3B SkyRe_EnemyScaling.esp 3C SkyRe_StandingStones.esp 3D Inconsequential NPCs.esp 3E sanguinesDebauchery.esp 3F SexLab_Paycrime.esp 40 MF_RadiantProstitution.esp 41 SexLab Dangerously Nude.esp 42 SDpatch - dragonborn.esp 43 SDpatch - dawnguard.esp ++ RichMerchants_Less.esp 44 SexLab Solutions.esp 45 zzLSAR_Clothes.esp 46 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp 47 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Interiors.esp 48 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Exteriors.esp 49 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp 4A Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities and Town Interiors.esp 4B Apocalypse - The Spell Package.esp 4C FNISspells.esp 4D ShowRaceMenuAlternative.esp 4E DeadlyCombat.esp 4F Acquisitive Soul Gems.esp 50 LunariRace.esp 51 ZazimelDrow.esp 52 SkyRe_Races.esp 53 Bashed Patch, 0.esp 54 ReProccer.esp 55 zzzSXP.esp 56 custom female anims.esp 57 PCEA DG n DB DLC for SkyRe_Races.esp
MikeMetal Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Make sure bUseSkillExpGainMults is set to 1, so your changes can take effect in the first place. Also remember if you want to level skills slower you have to go below "1.0" in the corresponding skill value. As an example a value of "0.9" will level the skill 10% slower, a value of "1.1" levels the skill 10% faster.
Nightwynd Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 I have bUseSkillExpGainMults set to 1, yes I assumed 1.0 would be the equivalent to vanilla experience gain, but I'll set them to 0.5 and see if it works.
Honesty Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 You have all xpacs, but only using Unofficial Skyrim patch? What about the unofficial Hearthfires, Dawnguard and Dragonborn patches?Also, why isn't it on top of your load order? I only noticed the CoT .esm, you're not using any of the plugins?And not sure if it matters 100%, but shouldnRaceCompatibility.esm be the last .esm loaded? :3
D_ManXX2 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Do you have the autoupdate turned off ?? if so set it to 1 i have bAutoUpdate= 1 bUseSkillCaps= 1 bUseSkillFormulaCaps= 1

The load order was arranged by BOSS though As for CoT, I only installed it as it was requiered by Project Enb. Should I download the plug ins too? Do you have the autoupdate turned off ?? if so set it to 1 i have bAutoUpdate= 1 bUseSkillCaps= 1 bUseSkillFormulaCaps= 1 Just turned it on. Thanks!
D_ManXX2 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 if your still having problems setting up elyse correctly, try one of these pre-made better leveling ini's: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/43971 Just replace the ini with the one from your skse\plugins\ folder and see if that fixes it.
Shaydow Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 If you just started a new game, remember that difficulty setting is NOT tied to an individual save, and is a constant. That is to say, if in the end of your last characters playthrough, you where on legendary, you are still on legendary. The higher the difficulty, the faster skills will gain. I.E : Novice setting has the slowest skill gains, whereas Legendary has the highest. This rule does not always apply to ALL skills, an example is destruction skill, the gains you get based on the damage you do, so you will actually gain destruction FASTER if on Novice. Most skills do not follow this rule. 1 handed will go up faster hitting an enemy on legendary then they will on Novice. Remember this when trying to balance your game. Good luck.
Honesty Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Ah you're using ENB - if they said not to use the plugin's, then don't : )And yeah! The other Unofficial Patches are worth getting : )
