Kunoich(female ninja) costume progression 001

Hi, everyone. In this time I am planning to make kunoich costume. 

I am thinking of using Kasumi costume for the base and probs would add more details for arm guards knee plates.

I want to make the costume like Nioh2s'. Now I am getting more references. If I had ripped version of the Nioh2 costumes, it would be the best though..

I downloaded a ninja costume from KE portal, but this one used alphamask map to hide the part of a mesh.

The belt is not real. I think I can  use the map to fix the actual mesh of the pants for reference. 

 

After all, I need to spend my time in marvelous designer again :((

This is a prototype prop.

1. I would add an asymmetrical shoulder pad and a string belt. The pad will be a samurai pad or an oni head pad.

2. The whole costume texture colour would consist of gold, black and green like Mortal Combat Jade.  

3. More cleavage space*

4. will do double sided for the upper and lower costume. *

5. will fix a couple of vertices for the hip part. *

fixing the mesh in maya and studying marvelous designer and blender 3.5.. 

 

I think Blender is awesome when it comes to modeling and sculpting, but not sure about animating yet.  

Animations are working but you have  to extract them  out of the .dae file by Hand.Also sometimes linear interpolated animations  do not work and I cant Figuren out how that can be solved. :(

modeling a samurai mask now. 

I think the shape for nose and jaw-line needs to be fixed a little more.

I need to get a design.. something in between the current mask and sinigami one. 

 

Originally I planned to make asymmetrical shoulder pad but thought it could disturb martial arts animation so I made a mask instead.

The more I check the quality, the more I need to fix. 

like.. 

1. cloth thickness

2. more detailed positioning for blackbelt

3. better color choice for costume..

 

I can adimit that there is a gap between game asset professional and none. I am more in a technical side than an artist. 

 

I know things to fix, but a little tired for now. I will do texturing using blender 3.5 and photoshop then finish it for now.
