Can't Start Skyrim SE/AE, crashes before music + menu

Hi.

1) Form 43 error is overhyped, if that mod is marked as SE it should work on se (but there are 2 SE's now - 1 is 1.5.97, another one is .640. If you just install from steam it will install you .640 version of game. Yes even if you don't purchase that CC mods pack - it will upgrade base game code to .640 and it will req specific mods. Check if your mods are SE/AE versions or there are comments that they will work there)

2) Are you using SKSE 1.5.97 on downgraded version? Try to check your modlist if any of mods require specific version of them to work on SE, if no then use correct skse for .640 or what you have there.

3) Are you starting your fnis from mo2?

4) If everything is ok, you checked everything, there are no incompatibilities - try to install .net script framework or Crash Logger SSE AE VR - PDB support and post here logs it will generate.

 

PS and ofc wait for someone who is good in reading error logs from papyrus, so that maybe they can find the problem there.

heres a example of a proper order to help for 1.5.97 also try using this as a ref order to help sort your load order out a bit and if newer to modding dont use bruma or mods like it as they require alot more nowolege on how to generate lod and terrain to fit properly with normal world

like ghost said form 43 is not acualy a issue on se as se can handle form 15 - form 44

although form 15 through form 41 will want a conversion of somekind as the esp is fine but the scripts and/or textures wont be on anything less than form 42 for 1.5.97 also in terms of scripts form 43 is the newest se 1.5.97 can handle dependingon mod

If the issue is as the thread title describes, crashing before the menu even appears (on the beth logo prolly) then your missing a dependancy for another mod, running SSEdit with everything selected (or checking you have the requirements for each mod manually) would be the first point of call to work out what your missing

 

If you are making it ingame and making a character and animations aren't loading etc then posting the full FNIS report would be helpful to work out whats going on

Aslo loot doestnt sor loverslab mods that well those u need to manualy sort after running loot and redate the plug-ins and go into sse edit and solve conflicts manualy

Also since u are using bruma u will need to generate your own lod textures also but only when your load order and conflicts are sorted out

The skse you are using is incorrect. If you reverted Skyrim to 1.5.97, its skse must be 2.0.20

(I'll never understand why downgrade)

Also, the order of LOOT is incorrect. Instead of launching it via MO2, do it directly from the program and you'll see the difference. LOOT places Alternative Start as the latest mod in the load order

Alright, so I did a completely clean install, removed from Steam folder, My Games, and Registry, etc. I even stopped using MO2 because I could not for the life of me get it to work. Went straight Anniversary 1.640 build and DID NOT downgrade or upgrade to last week's update. I can start the game and even get to the opening sequence but Alternate Start mod will not start properly (infinite black screen, music w/o menu options). Here is my LO currently, which needs some work and some of my mods are not activating on the mod list.

Sorry for the delay, IRL issues and honestly, BG3 just recently. So hereCrashLogger.log is the Crashlogger and the pics of the mods that refuse to "unable to locate." At the very least I want the Devious Skyrim/LL mods active. I have other documents in the SKSE Documents/ My Games/Skyrim SE folder if needed.
