kurisu7885
So, Skyrim has begun locking up on me, in cases during things I SHOULD be able to do with little to no issue, though I am looking at RAM and graphics card upgrades down the road since, well, my systme is a gaming rig. In any case, I am looking to see if I can optimize it some. It happesn enough to where I run it windowed as when it locks up in full screen, I can't downsize it to close it, forcing a restart. In any case, system specs. CPU: AMD 6100 6 core 3.30 GHz GPU: Nividia GT 630 RAM 16 gigs Os: Windows 7 64 bit For the record I run BOSS every single time I make a mod change. Guest airdance
I ran into that problem too. It seems that it is possible to exceed the amount of Ram required to execute the game. All that has to happen is to have one faulty bit on a ram chip you almost never use and either a lock-up or a CTD will occur. Look back through your mods and see if there are several that you do not need any more. Remove a couple, save, then try and run again. All your problems will have gone. The interesting thing is that load order was not the problem, and everything checked out as running flawlessly, and the game would run for almost an hour until I started to move from say one town to another or cast a spell that required more memory. That what causes my freezes and CTD's. Since I'm using a 32 bit version of XP, all I can use is 1 gb of Ram, once the game starts using about 900 mb, it freezes up. Link to comment
kurisu7885
Well, looks like a RAM and GPU upgrade will certainly help this. unti lthen I just cut out one of my bigger mods. Link to comment
