Ive now checked the Buffout Crash log and it believes it's 0x7FF64EF646E9, Which in the file says its an issue with fallout 4 itself. This is starting to hurt miniscule brain

1. If you haven't already, definitely use the adult guide here for setting up AAF

2. If you are using BodyTalk for males, grab the latest version TBOS-BT3-June2022R2.zip which hopefully fixes a crash bug with the male clothing, this crash can happen on loading new areas and at the pre-war crib scene.  (if you weren't using bodytalk, then ignore this)

3. use the crash log auto-scanner or upload the entire text log here so we can look at it / scan it.  Scanning a log can reveal known issues and provide steps to remediate them.

sure

The log shows your game is crashing while trying to render one of the soldiers (NPC_ 001974EB "Officer") from the pre-war Vault 111 Exterior cell.  Not sure what that has to do with Diamond City.

I would check if you have any mods that modify anything those NPCs are wearing or carrying, or the NPCs themselves.  Also I see you have Rusty Face Fix installed, that sometimes causes CTDs on cell load so I would try disabling that as well.

Could it be an attempt to spawn in the solders because of the start me up i had used when initially playing (Before i realised the redux was made), But yeah im unsure why that would happen as from what i can tell I don't have any mods pertaining to pre war soldiers

No idea about how the soldiers are getting there, but that's what it's trying to render when it crashes.

It's probably caused by a mod that affects all NPCs, so either a mesh or skeleton replacer or Rusty Face Fix.  I'm kind of leaning toward the latter.

Which male body replacer are you using, Bodytalk3 or Atomic Muscle?  Also are you testing on a new game each time you remove mods?

Im using bodytalk 3 and yeah i did start a new save when i removed mods

although for some reason now it seems to work? or atleast it hasnt crashed as soon as i enter dc

The latest version of BodyTalk is TBOS-BT3-June2022R2.zip.  If you are using the previous June2022 or June2022R1, please remove it and install June2022R2 and see if the crash is resolved.  However if you are using the version of Bodytalk from 2021 then this issue doesn't apply.

As I was saying in my original post on this thread, there is a crash bug with the Bodytalk "June2022" release (which came out at the very end of June / Beginning of July) and the "R2" version in the link above may resolve that issue.  The previous June versions were crashing because of the "pre-built" clothing and as soon as people re-installed without ticking those boxes in the installer, the crash went away for them.  With this "R2" version you should be able to install these clothes and hopefully also avoid the crash unless the crash you are experiencing is for a different reason.

i've reinstalled bodytalk again without the prebuild clothing and that currently seems to have stopped the crash

Sorry for my english but i use translator. I have the same problem. I uninstalled all mods and reinstalled after installing 2 - 3 I checked if the problem persists. It was ok as long as I did not install Buffout 4 it was 5 according to the mod installed guide. After uninstalling, it's ok again

You probably installed Buffout 4 incorrectly.  You have to install it exactly as the up to date adult guide specifies, including proper extraction of the xSE preloader and only using notepad ++ to edit the xml file.  Install Address Library and Buffout 4 as you would any other mod.

When people have problems with Buffout it is usually because of one or more of the following issues:

- Buffout 4 not installed / enabled
- Address library not installed / enabled
- extracted xSE Preloader files to the wrong place

- didn't edit the xml file with the correct program

And as has already been proven, the most recent crashing bug is with Bodytalk3.  If you are using Bodytalk3, reinstall it and do not choose the pre-built clothing.  But you have got to get Buffout sorted because it's essential for modding Fallout 4.

If you don't use Bodytalk then your crashing is a different problem and you will need those crash logs to diagnose it.

I installed everything exactly as in the guide, everything was fine until I wanted to enter Diamond City. Installation using the manager I previously installed the adress library and xSEplugin

Did you look at your crash log?  Documents \ My Games \ Fallout 4 \ F4SE

Do you use Bodytalk?  If so did you try the fix I mentioned previously?

I have the same problem. I figured out it's a problem with an NPC named Arturo Rodriguez, his mesh is all screwed up for some reason. Disabling him with a console command fixed the issue, so does diabling BodyTalk.

Maybe whatever clothing Arturo uses is (one of the) bad meshes then.

Thanks for the report back
