How good is modded Skyrim VR seriously?

Haven't taken the time to set up any NSFW mods, but if you just add stuff like VRIK, HIGGS, and PLANCK, it makes it infinitely more fun. Maybe just start light, and then see if you feel like modding the shit out of it.

Is it easy to port mods across from Legendary/Special Edition into VR? I love the concept, but I'm pretty bad at the technical side of modding, so I wanna know how much of a hassle it is to set up with all my favourite mods : )

getting most of the sfw mods running is fairly easy and i fully recommend it the nsfw mods can be incredibly finnicky and take a fair amount of troubleshooting but if you get past all that you can almost assuredly find material for pretty well any kink its definitely not perfect yet though and as the other person said its super addicting so be careful yo

Here is what I have found, the good old Lover's lab animations don't work great in VR, some don't work at all.   VR is a FP POV, the animations used the camera "Third person".   Some of these still work, but I tried doggy and I was spinning around for 2 minutes, could see shit.   Tried getting a BJ and that looked weird like I was viewing from 5 feet away and in no body.

But as I said some work, so it's hit or miss.   I love skyrim so yeah I'll live it again and viewing it in VR is great, the sex part just makes it better.

So, just for clarity, you're saying if I want to get started with this, Special Edition mods are the ones to use, right? Just wanna make sure I dont make a massive mistake in doing this, as the actual modding process is not exactly my forte. Thanks!

It's at least worth downloading wabbajack and using it to install the Tahrovin modlist, which will give you a decent starting point for your own modlist and a quick way to check it out.

Right, although not every special edition mod will work. A lot of them will, but not every one, and sometimes they need a patch. I just use tahrovin and install a few extras over it, you just need to run nemesis and/or bodyslide if you're adding animations and/or outfits.

I found it to be very worthwhile. I've got a Pimax 8kx and Index controllers, and the immersion is unbelievable! I used to use a Dell Visor, which was still good. I also used to have the wrong controller bindings which made things spin about madly, but correct bindings have fixed it. I use NALO to limit motion sickness.

 

With VRIK, HIGGS, SLEN and the use of 3rd person perspectives, it is every bit as impressive compared to flatrim SSE nsfw as I could have wished for. 

 

You can do thing in 1st person like look down at your own breasts in a leather strappy outfit, and play with them or with your piercings (which is novel for a guy... if you get the VR scaling right and get the right posture, your fingers will be in the right places IRL - haven't tried this with a futa body for the cock yet, but I will!). 

 

In animations you can choose to be a 3rd person if you want (seeing your main character and npcs/creatures having a good time) and you can use your vr hands and grip mod to move limbs or bodies around (the 3rd person could be a visible body or invisible, it depends on which animation system was initiated - I see different outcomes). This works great, now I've got the hang of controlling it and setting it right.

 

Still getting the rough edges smoothed out, but so far the only problem seems to be that I occasionally bash my desk/wall/headset with my hands. I *wish* I had more time to do more with it!!

Is it not incredibly blurry for you? The graphics on my Quest 2 are terrible enough that it's distracting even with higher quality textures and everything.

I've been testing mods and getting an order set for a few months now (i install manually) and have a pretty settled order. I need to merge some more mods together to get the DD mods I want in yet, but here's my current order (maxed at the 255 active limit) .  I've enjoyed the testing (includes figuring the settings out that will work best for what I want) and set up. Make sure to back up any setting files for mods that allow exporting settings. 

 

I think it's worth it, but I also enjoy the aspect of adding the mods and finding out what works and what nukes an install, lol.
