Keyword Item Distributor Conversion Thread

Recommended Posts

If you aren't familiar, Keyword Item Distributor (KID) let's you add keywords to to armor, weapons, etc via a text file. It can add them to items by name rather than id, which makes them more broadly compatible than patch files. It also gracefully handles missing keyword sources, so you can add keywords when they're available without adding masters.

I have a process for pretty easily converting patch/replacer files that add keywords into KID files. So I'm offering to convert any file you'd like.

You can see an example where I did this for Baka Aroused Keywords for TAWOBA & TEWOBA.

Not sure if these are of any use, but I have quite a few armor mods (way too many really) and figured I would start adding keywords to them for fun, when the mood strikes me.

This also includes my attempt at adding keywords to the mods you linked along with the Ninirim Collection, but I would consider them subpar and unfinished.

I don't really use the mods that require these keywords and I have not really validated that the keywords were being applied correctly, beyond a look at the logs occasionally, so not sure how well they work.

I do also have a python script that generates a fomod installer based on the ini files in the same directory, if anyone thinks that could be useful to them.

@Me2106 These will be of great use and very helpful when setting up modifications on here for instance (e.g. Devious Followers - Continued SE, SexLab Survival SE and also Paradise Halls - Diary Of Mine). I'm just wondering whether there's any KID ini files which have the Paradise Halls - Diary Of Mine keywords specified for items as part of the packs. If so do you think you could please share them, either as a file upload here with a proper posting?

Also please contact the authors of the modifications I mentioned to let them know about your collection of KID ini files, so they can be found by more people. To aid in setting up their games for playing the mods.

Unfortunately I do not play with any Paradise Halls mods so nothing I did has those keywords. I also don't use Devious Devices related mods either so those are in the same boat.

I have not played much and have not worked on these since I uploaded here, but I can see about contacting authors to mention the files.

Thanks for saying your going to see about contacting authors. Anyway some of those keywords in the files are from SexLab Aroused Redux, SexLab Aroused Redux (Baka Edition), SLAX or the new OSL Aroused.

Devious Followers - Continued (including Devious Followers - Continued SE) will respond to those keywords during its functions. So in essence there's partial support for those without even intending. When haven't used any Devious Devices based modifications so didn't add its keywords to KID inis.

underrated thread. I've had KID installed for ages but assumed it would be hard to use and require the CK and never read the description ?

I've been making some great additions for SOS, SLS, Frostfall, etc.

;Heels, includes conditional hh idles
Keyword = ClothingHH|Armor|*Heel,*HH,*Heels,*Pumps
Keyword = SLA_BootsHeels|Armor|*Heel,*HH,*Heels,long+boots,*jenne,
Keyword = SLA_KillerHeels|Armor|*long+*boots,*jenne,*ballet,*platform
Keyword = SexLabNoStrip|Armor|*Heel,*HH,*Heels,*Pumps

;SOS
Keyword = SOS_Revealing|Armor|*Top,*Bra,*breastplate,*skirt,*dress
Keyword = SOS_Concealing|Armor|*Panty,*Panties,*Bottom,*Thong,*pantyhose,*leggings,*tights
Keyword = SOS_Underwear|Armor|*Panty,*Panties,*Bottom,*Thong

;Survival- apply keywords broadly to stop bikini curse block
Keyword = _SLS_BikiniArmor|Armor|*tasset,*pauldron,*abs,*spine,*thigh,*harness,*breastplate

;YpsFashion. havent figured out where all my jewelery items are coming from, maybe another mod??
Keyword = SexLabNoStrip|Armor|*nylon,*nails,*pierc,*earring,*necklace

;Frostfall. character too cold and wet even if very clothed
Keyword = FrostfallIsWeatherproofAccessory|Armor|*tasset,*pauldron,*abs,*spine,*thigh,*harness,*breastplate

;Baka keywords very experimental
Keyword = SLA_HasLeggings|Armor|*pantyhose,*leggings,*tights,*nylon

Keyword = SLA_ArmorRubber|Armor|*latex,*rubber
Keyword = SLA_Earrings|Armor|*earring
Keyword = SLA_ArmorHarness|Armor|*harness
Keyword = SLA_AnalPlug|Armor|*anal*plug,*plug (pair),*plug (anal),*toys-anal
Keyword = SLA_VaginalDildo|Armor|*vaginal*dildo*plug,*plug (pair),*plug (vaginal),*toys-vaginal
Keyword = SLA_PantiesNormal|Armor|*lsar,*panties,*panty,*miqo'te
Keyword = SLA_ArmorCapeFull|Armor|*cloak
Keyword = SLA_ArmorTransparent|Armor|*transparent,*see-through,*lace
Keyword = SLA_ArmorLewdLeotard|Armor|*leotard,*bodysuit,*monokini
Keyword = SLA_ArmorPretty|Armor|*lace,*radiant,*lingerie,*miqo'te
Keyword = SLA_ArmorIllegal|Armor|*spriggan,*daedric,*forsworn
Keyword = SLA_ArmorCurtain|Armor|*party,*wedding

Keyword = SLA_ArmorHalfNaked|Armor|*slutty*,*ouvert
Keyword = SLA_ArmorHalfNakedBikini|Armor|*pornstar,*swim

Not the baka keywords at the end double up on some of the work you guys have already done. It also isn't well tested and you may disagree with my judgement, but i've tried to cover various lingerie, devious, toys and underwear mods.

Hi

I saw your post. But I still don't really understand how KID works. Is it just installing the .ini as a "mod"?

I tried to check if the keys are applied in SSEdit but I don't see them showing.

Is there any way to check it?

KID is a SKSE64 plugin. It looks in a particular location for .ini files, reads them and then adds kewords based on the contents.

So you need to have the base KID mod installed. But once that's in place, adding mods that use it really is just a case of adding a .ini file.

I downloaded the .ini from @Lyyli that adds keywords to the TAWOBA armor so that the Baka and Babo mods can use them. I guess the .ini doesn't matter where it is installed, right? I installed it as a new mod using MO. I guess KID should be adding the keywords to the armors. I just don't know how to check if it's really doing it or not. I tried using SSEdit to check but I don't see that the key signatures have the keywords.

I understand that it only requires KID installed and the .ini file with the keywords. I just don't know how to check that it is working correctly. That's my doubt.

Generally speaking, .ini files for SKSE plugins go in Data\SKSE\Plugins, alongside the .dll that reads them. That said, it's not a hard and fast rule, so it's worth double checking the mod page since there may be a subdirectory for that mod's .ini files. It should be somewhere under Data\SKSE  in any case.

It works on game start up and AFAICT it doesn't actually edit any files, check po3_KeywordItemDistributor.log in /My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE/ for the log file.

And yes, once you install the KID mod proper, you just put the *_KID.ini files in your Skyrim /Data/ folder. You can obviously zip them up and install as mods if you prefer that too.

These questions are all answered on the KID nexus page.
