Futanari option doesn't work for me

So i've read up on how to get futanari as a option in the forums here, but every time i try it, it flat out doesn't work. Either my character doesn't go futa, or the sexbound mod just flat out doesn't work for the character. I wasnted to try and get my floran character as a futa, but it just doesn't seem to work. i have no idea what to do now, every option i've tried either ends in not working or flat out blocking the character from doing anything with sexbound related mods.

First off, share your Starbound Log, so we can see what is breaking.

Second off, i have several known methods to do this that work fine. I just need to make sure i can suggest them and you don't have other mods overwritting the API.

here's my log of when i started to try it with a test floran, i was trying to make a futa floran. and as far as mod i use that edit the floran's bodies, i'm using a stand alone mod that makes the floran into the cutebound floran. and as for API, i do not know what that means.

Well, that misses the point entirely. In a manner of speaking, you've cut out all the important bits and left me with only a chat log and errors after the game is done loading. You've also uploaded it as text. So i guess i gotta give the ol' copy pasta!

Okay so you don't have any other mod that could actually break it! Nice.

So, to make your life easier, there are a couple mods that can make your character into a futanari with ease, either you could get Lustbound, and equip the "Hormone Patch" back item, so long as your character is female, it should still work, though i'd recommend getting the download for the mod i've made available in the thread at some point.

Or EB's Lovely whips will actually do the job too. Just crack the venturous whip really close to you, and walk into it. It should make your character a futanari, even if you are male, so long as the settings for it are enabled.

Thanks for the recommendation, i'll try lustbound first, if that doesn't work, i'll check your thread, if you got a link though since i'm not sure what to look for. the whips i'll try as a last resort due to what you said i gotta do use it to make a futa player. But anyway, thanks for the help, greatly appreciate it since i was really lost on why things weren't working.

Sorry for the double post here, but now i have a new problem, after adding lustbound and it's requirements, aphrodite's bow now doesn't work. I shoot people with it and nothing happens, and oddly enough, it's happening only on my female floran, that one who i tried to make futa previously.

... weird, there's like, no error in the log at all. Are you sure you're using the Imbued ( i ) Aphrodite's Bow?

You don't have any of the more common mods to blame for this either. So all i got is to ask, did you download the "fixed"/"updated" version of Lustbound from here;

okay, found the reason why the bow was blocked, it was the location i went to called nova station. so i tried using the bow outside nova station and it worked. but now yet another problem arose, i'm using the lustbound hormone patch item, still no futa. so now i'm really scratching my head.

So, couple things to note, you have to have the patch equipped? Either in cosmetic or functional slots is fine.
Two, you still have to enable Futa in the Sexbound API manually, since, sadly, Sexbound itself disables this function from Lustbound.

If you don't have your Sexbound as an Unpacked version, you'll need that one. Then, in the mod's "sexbound.config" file, find this section, and set "enable", from false to true as shown.

 

I honestly forgot about this step, as you said you had already messed with the options, i assumed you had enabled this, my bad =V

... yeah no, that checks out. I wonder why you're having trouble with the Futanari module. Weird...

So, you have no errors, you have no bow transformation issues, and you just aren't becoming a futanari. Hmm...

Yeah i'm at a bit of a loss here. This is a weird one. Usually either the patch, the Aphrodite's Apple, the whips, they all do the same thing in the code technically, the patch is the most unconventional of the bunch, but it should still work by default. I don't know what to add.

Any external modification (out of Sexbound) shouldn't affect it's inner workings, unless they change something --in scripts usually-- in a manner that replaces/gets rid of previous data.

 

I've personally tried the updated Lustbound with a recent version of the API, and it worked for females right away, whereas the males did not change into anything, i cannot recreate your problem, and believe, i've tried really hard to break things without changing the code, for testing sake.

If all else fails, i guess you can fallback to "unninstall and reinstall everything", but seeing how your installation is working, i'd at least recommend a backup before you do such a thing. I have literally nothing else i can add, since at this rate, not even the whips might work.

I did as you say and reinstalled all of my mods, it still didn't work....but then i did a fresh uninstall, unpack and install of sexbound, then it worked. now, i'm happy it works, but this was by far the biggest head scratcher for me, the simplest solution was to to in a fresh unpack of sexbound. Was is it because i tried to edit it in notepad?

Honestly, it's possible. If you edited some lines in the futanari config, you may have removed the lines that check for the status effect, used to make you a futa with the hormone patch.

Though, if it was working, it shouldn't be the case, unless you edited everything else out, expertly.

but the good news is, it's working now, best to leave things as they are and not mess with the code.
