Invisible horses

All horses in my game are invisible for some reason. i have tried removeing SOS as i saw someone say that was a cause and it did nothing.

I have and it sadly did nothing. I am currently questioning if it was a depatcher issue.

Used Simple horse mod.

Happens frequently for me when I change between profiles on MO2.  Here's how I fix it in my games.

 

1)  Horses invisible - exit to desktop.

2)  Turn off More Nasty Critters in your mod manager.

3)  Start Skyrim with MNC off.

4)  Load your save game.  Let all mods load, so give it a few seconds or however long it takes for all the loading notifications to clear when you load your save.

5)  Exit game to desktop.  Don't save the game. 

6)  Turn MNC on in your mod manager.

7)  Load your save file and you should have visible horses.

 

So:  Load your save without MNC, exit without changing anything.  Load your same save with MNC back on, should be fixed. 

 

Alternative:

 

If you see horse cocks but the rest of the bodies are invisible, you may want to use Animated Beast Cocks and the Horse Patch that it has.  That fixed that particular issue for me.  (Edit:  just noticed you already have ABC + horse patch).

 

It's possible what is causing it for you is different than what causes it for me, so maybe this won't work for you.

It will happen again, so you'll have to do this occasionally.  For me, usually after I change profiles in MO2.  I think from a profile that uses MNC and one that does not.  I think something in the overwrite profile carries over between profiles (and therefore mod lists).  Not sure though.  

 

I think doing what I suggested forces the mod to reload or refresh and that fixes the problem.  I don't know what cause, however, so I don't know of a permanent fix.

Weird thing after i fixed this the badies on all the manaquines didapeared but bot the heads hands and feet. My game os so fuvled, the best part bring if i put body armor on them tbat lets you see the body texture it apears untill i take the armor off.

hmmm....mannequins in both base game and a mod that adds doll or mannequin enemies both work fine for me. I am not sure what would cause that.

Its far from a big issue it just really strange obly tine ove ever had it happen. And removing the mannequin mod i bave did nothing so something else is having prio of the files.

Exit and restart skse is not enough on switching profiles.

At least restart mo2, sometimes even pc restart, as windows not always unloads dll's.

Do you happen to know where this Horse Patch is? this is 2 years later.. and I am having this same issue. It is an incompatibility between MNC and ABC.. I'm wondering if the Horse patch you are talking about might fix it, but I cant find this horse patch

The patch comes from The ABC installer and only takes effect if you are using the sc horse mod.

I was having this problem and when I saw the posts about the Horse patch I decided to reinstall ABC without the horse patch because I wasn't using the SC Horse mod and after I did my horses were visible. (My problem was originally invisible horses with visible penises walking around. My guess is that the SC horse replacer esp included in the horse patch caused the ABC mod to try to render horse textures that didn't exist because I didn't have the SC Horse mod installed.
