looking to add kids to oblivion

Recommended Posts

Apart from the obvious 'Tamago' system that adds offspring from Lovers sexual encounters, there are a limited few mods out with, say, youthful NPCs in the game world. Links to two of them are found in this post here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/1565-from2ch-lives/?do=findComment&comment=34501

Naturally for all of these mods MBP++ and its x117 races are required!

In case you install the 'City Life' mod I can PM you about an improved version.

There's also the nowadays rather elusive 'Children Annuad' which even adds hostile young NPCs. This one does not require MBP as the races in there are standalone custom races with their own files. Is it recommended? According to its author it's "the bestest fucking x117 mod in existence".

Your mileage may vary...

I'm running a heavily modified and customized version drawing upon resources spread all over my 'Data' folder, edited over the course of some months. The mod does change some vanilla references and (just like the mods above) most of the NPCs aren't much to look at. It however has a lot of x117-sized equipment included that can be looted from its enemies, in that regard it's a solid collection of nice stuff (needs serious NifSkope clean-up though).

Looting their equipment necessarily means killing those NPCs, so the characters from 'Children Annuad' aren't essential. I can't remember anything about the characters from 'Futa Priory', I had been using that mod ages ago. But at least in the (more recent) improved version the x117 NPCs from 'City Life' are indeed essential. And good-looking.

I'm afraid I can't be of much help with that... Never tried any 'Tamago' mod, but from what I gather it is a system - dependent from the 'Lovers with PK' core system and 'Modular Beautiful People' - to add everything dealing with pregnancy and childbirth to the game. It's not one mod per se but several plugins which I'm not familiar what exactly they do.

It all boils down to one thing for sure: 'Tamago' adds a chance to Lovers sexual encounters that female characters can get pregnant, over time they go through every stage of pregnancy and finally they give birth to a new x117-sized character. Don't really know what's the latest version to download, I think it's this one here:

'Children Annuad' is difficult to find nowadays after the files had been taken down.

It's rumoured there is a working download available (seemingly by Prophour), but I am not sure if this is the right file:

http://www.4shared.com/archive/oeWFqPA6/_x117__CHILDREN_ANNUAD.html

A member you could contact about this is Emily (The Strange) as she has downloaded and installed this mod some time ago...

Can't say for sure if 'City Life' is compatible with 'Better Cities' as I'm using a different city overhaul. But when I was trying out BC for a short while I never noticed any problems with the characters added by 'City Life'. If BC doesn't change the homes of vanilla characters it should be completely compatible.

The mod's x117 NPCs are defined as children of vanilla characters living in those people's homes, with their own house keys for access and beds assigned to them. They are part of the vanilla characters' factions - so they are part of their family. During the day most of them run through the cities while following their daily schedules. Some others stay at their homes and are rarely seen outside.

The weirdest of these children is the daughter of Eugal Belette in Chorrol. I gave her a Mythic Dawn robe...

Tritana deleted their 4shared folder with all the children annuad/monstergirl files recently, so those mods are all but nonexistant on the internet anymore, and as far as i know he/she didn't want them redistributed.

RE: City Life x117

Is this the one you are referring too as the improved version? (Bottom of 2nd post)

In a way, yes. And no. Linked in that post is the mod as it was before.

The starting base so to speak, before a crazy guy spent some time to individually recreate all those x117 characters included as player characters and then transferring their face data to the mod. Changing these NPCs from the rather unpretty 'Mitzha' race to his beloved Lop-Ear Mini Elves in the process.

Let's have a comparison - top rows are the original characters, bottom rows their recreated forms:

The 'Tang Mo' hottie is a bonus character that didn't make it into the mod... Yet.

Even the darkest brutha from da hood is fond of nice girlies roaming the streets of every Cyrodillic city:

ladiesman.jpg

goofygrin.jpg

"Teehee, they told me to meet 'em tonight behind the chapel..."

Character names had also been changed to something similar but more nice and in some cases slightly funny. 'Force' for example became 'Farce'.

But since that mentioned crazy guy rarely goes like "Bestest fucking x117 mod in da universe!", little is known about this version.

When I tried out this mod to compare it to my version, I was having the weirdest effects... Graphics and especially my player character were all messed up. Swapping the esp with the original one I had installed made everything return to normal. Why this?

From what I gather checking the readme and looking at the screenshots, this mod's approach is different, by using files from the 'Slim' race as a replacement for some characters instead of Lop-Ear Elf Mini (the race of my player character). I once had tried out the 'Slim' race but deleted it later on. File size of my version is 265 kb.

The two sample pictures show the characters have this typical 'Japanese' appearance going for them - but they look even more identical than my faces.

In the esp there's still the facedump character included from which the overhauled NPCs derive. The author of this version seems to have forgotten to delete the reference. Or just didn't care.

Hehe... That's the bullet one has to bite in order to have young NPCs in the game. More credible and convincing ones at least.

Take a look at these four examples:

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/37572/?

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/28065/?

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/22719//?

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/17333/?

Simply scaling down the actors is not going to cut it. Miniaturized adults at best, even with flat-chested clothing for females.

It's all in the basic proportions of the body - the head size is what brings about a younger look to the characters.

All of MBP's and XEO's x117 races are using enlarged head meshes, 117 percent the size of normal-sized vanilla heads.

While the general scale of these races is 0.9 or 0.85 the scale of vanilla races. This is what makes the difference to create believable young actors.

So we're stuck with using MBP and/or XEO, at least for their basic meshes and races.

To remedy any possible Anime-like appearance one could try to customize the x117 races' textures to something more gritty.

And going for a less 'kawaii' look when creating characters might work, too.

ahh well, im just trying to find a decent version of it, you mind uploading the esp your using?

Oh yes, uploading it I will...

I have decided to finally release this mod after more than one year that I made the overhaul! But I have an idea to make it more interesting than simply featuring some nicer character faces.

On the comparison pictures the characters are still wearing their vanilla clothing. I took the pictures immediately after recreating the faces, makes it easier to recognize them wearing their original outfits. Little by little I exchanged their equipment with clothes from outfit and shop mods, giving the stuff to the NPCs with the 'Trade' function of MCS. For a more colourful city scenery:

NPCs2.jpg

NPCs1.jpg

Catz.jpg

My idea is this: Instead of a mere NPC mod, I'm going to include outfits for the characters as well! Not just the boring stuff seen on the pictures above but customized and much nicer gear. Armor, clothes and weapons. For all of the x117 characters, and for some of the normal-sized ones, too. The high-profile NPCs like the iconic 'Gertrude Eisenbrech' (I adore the girl for her stalking habits).

One additional idea that followed right after the decision to include this mass of custom outfits: Players might want to use these armors, clothes and weapons for themselves. Robbing the poor NPCs blind is not what I'd approve of. So there will be a shop with copies of the gear for sale!

By now I have finished to compile and already implemented half of the equipment. I'm going to make and then post preview pictures soon.

That sounds wonderful Poontank! Thank you for the hard work. I look forward to trying out your release.

Also has anyone ever figured out the chinese host site here? I can't seem to make sense of it. There seems to be two distinct download links and both want to download what I assume is the sites download manager. I'm a little nervouse to be downloading a DM from a chinese site with no foreknowledge myself.

115 doesn't have a download manager from what i remember, so good thing you didn't download whatever it was trying to install, I've never actually seen a download from that site with a plain old "click here to download" button, I used to always just kind of cheat the system, because they had a way to copy files to your 115 account that others had posted, so i just made an account and copied what i wanted to download, thereby allowing me to dl it, but it seems that options now "vip" only, so i don't even know if you can download that without paying anymore

It's been a while, and I have worked on the mod for quite some time.

Recently I have made this group shot here featuring some characters from the mod wearing wigs Movomo recently has released.

Consider this a WIP shot for my version of 'City Life', to present ten characters from the mod wearing the personalized outfits they come with:

CityLifeGroup.jpg

Colourful, fun-loving and badass. The REAL "bestest x117 mod in da multiverse"... :D

As they are all wearing Movomo's wigs, their hairstyles will be different in the 'City Life' mod. The witch in the foreground has a witch hat that matches her dress. Fighter characters will wield interesting weapons to reflect their classes, the Tabaxi thief for example has a smackjack.

My Kitty and that moonshadow Elf in the back (proprietor of the apartment the shot was taken in) are not part of 'City Life'.
