Nipton CTD - Loadorder Problem?

Hullo. I've been getting consistant crashes around the Nipton area. Having combed through my loadorder earlier I tagged the problem down to RobCo Certified.esm and More Perks.esm, though upon reinstalling the game and loading each mod one at a time, it seems they work fine with the basics of Sexout. What's more, I'd previously had Mikoto's Beauty Pack installed. With that in the current loadorder everything seemed to function, except for the Beauty Pack itself. However once I'd moved that to the bottom, as that mod's author suggests the crashes came back. Same now that I've removed it. Could somebody with any eye for it take a wee peek at my current set up, and see if anything looks out of place? To my knowledge it's all in order, but I seem to be missing something.

I hate to say this, since the mod I'm going to fault is the very one I'm currently rewriting, but the current version of BrutalRapers with stalkers on is known to cause issues with scripted events and Nipton has such an event when you arrive. Try turning the Stalkers off in the MCM menu and try that.

Set the Legion approach rate in Sexout Tryout to 0 as well. I had issues with the Legion unnecessarily approaching my PC like a bunch of creepy weirdos while I was hanging around Nipton. The problem here is that they don't even preposition (i.e. force) my PC into sex, they just surround her, then probably grope her or something while saying "Ave, true to Caesar". Not having Legionnaires accompany Vulpes (if you let him walk away) on their way back to Cottonwood Cove because they are busy groping your PC means that there's a chance that he might get killed along the way as well, though the chances of this happening isn't really that big.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll give both a go, though I don't believe it's connected to that encounter. I can be on the far end of town, playing as a male, after they've moved on, and still the CTD happens. Strange thing is, it isn't even at a fixed point. Sometimes I can run around for a minute or two, other times the second I step into that cell it crashes.

No cigar. What's more, I'm now unable to start New Vegas owing to some damnable Steam error.

 

Times like this, I'm sorely tempted to take a hammer to my PC.

It's a longshot, but you can try this.  Assuming you've already partially explored Nipton,

 

1. Travel far from Nipton (like to Mojave Outpost).

2. Open console and enter "pcb" (without quotes; stands for Purge Cell Buffers). This may or may not remove idle actors in Nipton like the crucified victims and the NCR corpses.  (The pcb option in Increased Wasteland Spawns removed them in my game.)

3. (optional) Wait three game days for corpses to decay and spawn points to reset.

4. Return to Nipton.

Or if you can live with it, reinstall this mod back where it was originally located.

Check you are running the latest SCR & Preg, there was an issue causing CTD for Legion in a previous issue.

I'm actually having that same problem.  I initiated the Caesar guys and went back to Primm area to work on the prison stuff.  Now, I can pass through Nipton just fine, but I crash in the canyon with the ambushers every time.  I'm still trying to narrow down the cause.  At the moment, I'm thinking it's either a Sexout plugin or Pipboy Remover http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35557/?tab=4&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D35557%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D253534&pUp=1 .
