FNV - weird problem with Pipboy being misplaced

I recently got a new PC and so I copied my FNV data folder on my external hard drive, installed FNV on my new PC and copied the old Data Folder over it, also importing the old load order from FOMM.

 

So now I have the weirdest problem that makes New Vegas unplayable and I have no idea what could be causing this (it worked fine on my old machine):

When I want to open the pip-boy, I see its side instead of the display (as if my char isn't bending her arm). It's a bit hard to describe, so here's a screen:

Heh, wow, never seen that happen before. Generally, it is a bad idea to just copy over your data folder from one instal to the next. A lot of things break and issues like these start popping up. 

 

As headachy as it is, we recommend the old fashioned and laborious reinstallation. Its the only way to be sure and it will save you all sorts of headaches in the future.

If everything else is working OK you could always try a pip replacer like the Readius or 2500.

Hey, it actually works with the 2500!

Crashes on my old save, but with a new char it works fine and I was gonna start a new char anyways! Thanks a lot!

Glad I could help, but keep an eye out for other oddities during your playthrough. It could only be a workaround to a symptom of a larger problem. Sorry, not trying to be doom and gloom.
