Addons in the wrong category (VX)

I had to start a new thread, because the other one we were using is gone not sure how/why.

 

That said, if there is an addons that is in the wrong CAT.

Simply post the link of the addon (uploaded it if it's not already there).

I will need it for testing.

 

Reason being why some are in the wrong CATs, is in V7.5 there was a lot less CATs,

so when using them in VX many will be in the wrong CAT (ie coat in blouse CAT,

because in V7.5 there was only blouse, instead of like 5 top CATs in VX)

 

@Win, please post again your request.

FYI, about corsets if they are in waist CAT. that mean they should be there, reason being that by default all of the V7.5 are in corset CAT, but some were moved later in waist, that said, I will double check everything. Are those uploaded here? (Please link them) If not you will need to do so, for me to test them. Thank you.

 

@EJAX, it's not to late to fix them, because we do not modify the addons,

but the game where it put them, by releasing a new update.

That mean that all addons that you already downloaded, will be in the right place after the game update.

 

@Everyone, with your help reporting all addons in the wrong CATs,

we can fix them all.

I'm sure mine are all available somewhere, as they're among the more popular addons. I know winojez has a few of them. I have renamed pretty much everything in my collection, totally messing up your naming convention, so I'm kinda reluctant to upload anything. • Dress027 -- overall shorts and bra with one side dropped (arguably open, though no skin showing)
• Dress061 -- I don't even know if you can call this clothes, it's more of an accessory.. but if it's all you're wearing...
• Dress085 -- looks more like a towel-wrap, or a summer beach top -- totally exposed cooch
• Dress092 -- sort of a "Whip Me Barbie, Swimsuit Edition" thing... Probably ought to have its own category
• Dress101 -- you could argue coat or top, depending on the texture. I would say coat
• Skirt019 -- short skirt, open in front -- again, more of an accessory.
• Corset008 -- An actual towel wrap, shows in "waist" -- very similar to the default towel, which is under "TopY" (I think I'd probably move the default, and leave this one alone)
• The default dropped pants --currently in "pants" category  (don't know the ID#s)
• Pant013.SkinnyJeansStdPulled -- open clothes
• Pant028 -- crotch-less tights... definitely open.
• Panty017.PullMePanty -- technically not open unless you change the latex options, but that's kinda the idea

Everything else I have is in backup at the moment.

we would appreciated if it's uploaded first,

so other can test and enjoy them.

P.S. renaming the addon should not have an impact, as the game use the object name, and not the actual file name.

You will be able to test this after the update.

@EJAX OK, I installed all the addons, and my first priority was to locate all of them.

That said, there is some I could not find in game, with many CATs, it's possible they were overlooked;

- Blouse 68-76-43-85-92-93-98-154

- Dress 27

- Pant 28

Also Blouse 79 was not included in the zip file.

 

Since I was testing with a Female model, I suspect that some might have been Male addon.

Could you please tell me what are the current CAT for each, and the ones that are Male,

it will help me speed up the process.

Yeah... Blouse043, Blouse085, Blouse092, Blouse093, Blouse098, Blouse152 are all male.

Dress27 is this... It should be in the zip...

 

Winojez and I had some discussion about this already. He had a section set aside for what he thought were non-working addons. Turns out they were either male, not appearing where their names suggested, or conflicted with something else that was trying to grab the same ID#. I think Dress27 was one of them. Dress041.HDGirlsTank (which is not in the zip) was trying to grab the same ID as an open-back dress. There were others, but I don't remember what they were now.

 

Pant028 is this... which is under "panty hose"; which is probably the right place, so maybe I should have left it out. It is technically "open", though.

 

And did I say "Blouse079?" I meant "Dress079". It should be in there.

          also I noted that only the coat is visible, not the tube top, is it the same with you?

          Anyway those 2 will need more investigation (they are not the first addons with bugs when moving).

          While testing with Male model, I notice a few addons that should not be there because of major clipping,

          so I made them F/S only (the last on the list).

          While moving many addons to open clothes CAT., I realized that this CAT. should be splitted in 2 (top/bottom),

          that way an opened coat could be combine with an open skirt (added to my to do list).

          BTW, with VX there should not be any ID conflict, because Avarteas program the game to check for any duplicate ID,

          and change one if there any conflict.

 

I have attached the file, simply extract and dropped the folder "config" to where you put your game.

On the next official update, we will include these changes.

Ya know, I actually can't even find that one (still have it installed). So, either someone changed the texture so drastically that I don't even recognize it, or it's conflicting with something else I have. I wish this prog would show the actual addon names (e.g. R9Blouse154), instead of just random numbers; it would make finding things SO much easier!

I don't know that open coat really needs its own category. I mean, people don't tend to walk around wearing just their topcoats (those without criminal records, at least). Then again, it is a porn program...

Well, then where is it putting them? Because if I put in two with the same ID#, I only see the one that gets loaded first.

Blouse 154.. Fetish Top?!! No wonder I couldn't find it! And, yeah, it does bear no resemblance to the icon. The texture is also stupidly large for what it is: 2048x2048.. I HATE when people do that! Just makes the game more likely to crash, and for no good reason!

 

They've also altered the mesh. This is what it looks like now...

 

Or maybe there never was a tube top? Anyhow, you might want to rethink this one altogether.

 

I found JUST the person to wear it, though...

Actually you can see the the real addon name, simply put your pointer over the number,

and the name will appear on the top left corner of the screen.

Since the icon is no good, could you create a new one (smaller that show only the coat), and post the updated addon here.

At the same time, you could change the CAT. (for coat) it should work.

Thanks for the icon, I redid the addons, found a bug in the script that I fixed,

updated the icon, reduce the texture to a standard size, and changed CAT to coat.

Everything worked, including all 6 alternate textures you supplied in Activemod.

 

That said, before I can release it I would like you to adjust the icon so the background is removed (transparent),

because currently it's to dark to clearly see the icon.

About this turning invisible... I had that problem when I changed the txf from Opaque to AlphaBlend. Weirdly, if I kept reloading it (switch to something else, then switch back) it would come visible eventually. It might take two or three tries. I've never seen an addon do that. A script problem? I looked for a MultiDrawLayer, but apparently clothes don't use them.
