Better Presets and Customization

This mod improves the vanilla presets and customization.

 

Description:

This mod does 6 major things. 

 

-Removes all vanilla hair styles from appearing during character customization.

-Replaces all the vanilla presets with improved ones with no hair.

-Removes duplicate hair styles in KS hairdos that are included with KS hairdos SMP.

-Adds new male hairstyles for females to use.

-By default you are now always female.

-You start naked. 

 

At the moment all the preset are using the vanilla shaved head for easier character customization. I plan to add KS hairdos to the presets in the future, but I want to use hairstyles you guys want. Let me know what preset you use the most along with you favorite hairstyle and it could become part of the mod! 

 

 

More technical info:

-Removes all vanilla hair styles from appearing during character customization. They are not removed from the game entirely, they are just no longer are flagged as "playable" so you will unable to select them. Bald hairstyles were not changed.

 

-Replaces all the vanilla presets with improved ones with no hair. This mod carries over all the changes made from the mod "Inhabitants of Skyrim - Character Presets" and removes the hairstyles.

 

-Removes duplicate hair styles in KS hairdos that are included with KS hairdos SMP. They are not removed from the game entirely, they are just no longer are flagged as "playable" so you will unable to select them.

 

-Adds new male hairstyles for females to use. Adds new hairstyles from KS hairdos that used to be from men only for females. I originally added in all the hairstyles so females can uses them but had to unflagged them as "playable" due to them not fitting the female head. 

 

-By default you are now always female. Changed the player to be female by default because 90% of us play as female anyways. Even when uses the console command "coc" from the main menu you will now spawn as female, useful for mod testing.

 

-You start naked.  Useful for adding skin overlays to your character when using RaceMenu. Gives you a Birthday Suit to replace the clothing that is supposed to be worn. Doesn't get removed from from your inventory and is flagged to be using the "32 - Body" slot. NPC will not recognize you as naked when wear it. You will not spawn naked if you use the console command "coc" from the main menu. Useful for mod testing!

Freckles and Rough skin Complexion Retex

 

HD Skins for old female faces - Milfs and Gilfs by Pfuscher

 

Tempered Skins for Males

The Eyes of Beauty SSE

 

Beards

 

Pale Beauty

 

Mature Skin Specs

 

Compatibility:

 

For best compatibility this should be loaded at the end of your load order.  This mod edits very few things that other mods do, but I did find that some mods make dirty edits to the hairstyles and presets.

 

Dwarven Modular Automaton makes edits to the presets and this mod MUST be loaded after it. 

 

Future plans:

 

-Adding KS hairdos to the presets.

-Improving the presets

-Nexus release

-Add a modular option for those who don't like all the changes.

Thanks for this solution to a seemingly intractable problem.  Character creation has never been better!  Thanks for the recommended list, too, I've used many of them before, but had not seen Player Rotation, wow, or the two mature skin mods.   Even better, the newest KS smp is working smoothly for me (a first), so I'll try and get back here with some styles - there are truly a ton of them - I personally tend to prefer somewhat off-the-face, shoulder length (or longer if smp has good xmls).

I just found this, haven't tried yet, but looks very useful, thank you.

 

One thing though. I never use KS Hairdos, only the KS Hairdo SMP, so I guess I'll need that too.

I don't think anyone has touched this in a long time but I made a patched version to make it work with Alternate Perspective and figured I'd at least share.

Shoot, I think I upload the wrong file. This should be the fixed one.

thanks! was bald headed like the description, but looks great.  even the default female looks good enough to start playing.   Just one slight problem, if I reload a saved game with a male character, his body turns into female while his face is male.

No big deal as I can use console to change sex but just a thought.
